Club Atlético Peñarol —also known as Carboneros, Aurinegros, and (familiarly) Manyas— is a Uruguayan sports club from Montevideo. Nacional were the defending champions, having won the title in the previous season and successfully defended their title in this season by defeating Rentistas in the finals by a 4–0 score on aggregate, thus claiming their 48th Primera División title.
