Light Bringer was a Japanese power metal band active from 2005 to 2014. They have released 5 studio albums, 2 video albums, 2 EPs, 6 singles, 3 demos and 1 compilation.

History

The band was founded in 2005 by bassist Hibiki in Tokyo. He was joined by vocalist Fuki, keyboardist Mao, guitarist Hide and drummer Ryo. The band's name is a reference to Lucifer. In 2006 and 2007 Light Bringer released three singles: "1st Demo", "Overture" and "Episode". [2]

Light Bringer debuted with an EP titled "Heartful Message", [2] released via Black-listed Productions. [1] Guitarist Hide was replaced by Kazu. The band's first full-length record, Tales Of Almanac, was released in 2009. Their second album, titled Midnight Circus, was released in 2010. [2] They were signed to King Records in 2011. [1] That same year, Kazu left the band. Light Bringer's third album, Genesis, was released via King Records in 2012. [2] It was ranked No. 28 at Oricon's albums chart. [3]

Drummer Satoru and guitarist Seiya left the band. JaY and Hideaki Yumida joined in 2013. [2] Their fourth album, titled Scenes of Infinity, released in 2013, was ranked No. 29 by Oricon, [3] and their fifth, Monument, released in 2014, [4] was ranked No. 26. [3]

On December 21, 2014, Light Bringer went on an indefinite hiatus. [5] Fuki continues to perform with Unlucky Morpheus and Doll$Boxx. [2] Hibiki and Yumida both joined Mardelas. [6] JaY left Light Bringer in 2018 to officially join Matenrou Opera, whom he had been supporting since 2016. [7]

<i>Sexual XXXXX!</i> 1987 studio album by Buck-Tick

Sexual XXXXX! is the second studio album by the Japanese rock band Buck-Tick. It was the group's major label debut and was released on vinyl, cassette and CD on November 21, 1987 through on Victor Entertainment. The album was digitally remastered and re-released on September 19, 2002, with a different cover. Sexual XXXXX! was remastered and re-released again on September 5, 2007. The songs "Do the I Love You" and "Hyper Love" were later re-recorded for the band's compilation album Koroshi no Shirabe: This Is Not Greatest Hits (1992). "My Eyes & Your Eyes" was also re-recorded for the b-side to their "Rendezvous" single in 2007. At the time of its release, the album peaked at number 33 on the Oricon charts and as of 2011, has sold 40,000 copies.

<i>Art of Life</i> 1993 studio album by X Japan

Art of Life is the fourth studio album by Japanese heavy metal band X Japan, released on August 25, 1993, by Atlantic Records. The album consists solely of the 29-minute-long orchestrated title track, which was written and composed by Yoshiki entirely in English and recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It topped the Oricon chart and has sold over 600,000 copies. The album is the band's first after changing their name from simply "X" and the first to feature bassist Heath.

Jun Onose, better known by his stage name J, is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. He is best known as bassist and co-founder of the rock band Luna Sea since 1986. After they disbanded in 2000 he focused on his solo career, for which he performs lead vocals and bass. He rejoined Luna Sea when they reunited in August 2010.

Kiyonobu Inoue, better known exclusively by his stage name Inoran, is a Japanese musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known as the rhythm guitarist and co-founder of the rock band Luna Sea since 1986. He started his solo career in 1997. Luna Sea disbanded in 2000, and he formed Fake? with Oblivion Dust vocalist Ken Lloyd a year later. In 2005 he left Fake? and founded Tourbillon with Luna Sea vocalist Ryuichi Kawamura and Hiroaki Hayama. He rejoined Luna Sea when they reunited in 2010, and in 2012 formed Muddy Apes with bassist Taka Hirose and guitarist Dean Tidey, both from Feeder, and 8otto's vocalist Maeson. "Kurenai" is a song by Japanese heavy metal band X Japan, written by Yoshiki. One of the band's oldest songs, they have been performing "Kurenai" since 1985, and several versions have been released, most significantly as their major-label debut single on September 1, 1989.

Saber Tiger is a Japanese heavy metal band from Sapporo. It was founded in 1981 by guitarist and sole-constant member Akihito Kinoshita - as well as two other musicians - who is responsible for producing, engineering and composing most of the band's work.

"Tell Me" is the fourth single by Japanese musician hide, released on March 24, 1994. It reached number 4 on the Oricon Singles Chart. He was previously in the bands Se'lavy, Mar'derayla, Kisaki & Kansai Kizoku, Phantasmagoria, Toshi with T-Earth and Spiv States. Diaura is a four-member Japanese visual kei rock band, currently signed to their own record label, called NDG, they were formerly under Galaxy Inc. and then Ains. The band formed in December 2009 by yo-ka, Kei (ex-Valluna), Yuu (ex-Valluna), and later recruited Shoya. Their current fourth member and then-support drummer, Tatsuya, was later on added to the group as an official member after ex-drummer Yuu's departure from the group due to tendinitis. Their debut single "Shitsuyoku no Seiiki" was released on January 19, 2011. Diaura released their first full studio album Genesis on March 21, 2012 and their second full studio album Focus on December 4, 2013.

9999 is the tenth studio album by Japanese rock band The Yellow Monkey, released on April 17, 2019 by Atlantic Records. It is the band's first album of new material in 19 years and their first since reuniting in 2016. The album was produced by lead singer Kazuya Yoshii, who also wrote almost all of the songs.
