"Light Year" is a high-tempo trap beat. where the central theme revolves around confidence in both personal success and identity, juxtaposed with a nod to the darker, more serious side of life. Before the release of Eternal Atake 2, videos of Woods in the studio alongside Lil 88 inhaling air, doing Nitrous oxide began to surface online. [4] [5] With Lil Uzi Vert on the song confirming they indeed was, rapping ("I'm fresh off the nitrous, ain't mess up a bit-it"). Woods would receive a lot of backlash from both fans and critics due to them promoting it to their younger audience and last year on their third studio Pink Tape releasing a song called "Rehab" talking about their past drug addiction and their time in rehab. A week after the songs release, in an Instagram Story post, Uzi wrote, “No more bad stuff,” with emojis of a salute, a wind face emoji, and a balloon emoji–signaling. [6]
