Likith Shetty (born 27 February 1989) is an Indian male actor, who works in the Kannada and Tulu film industries. [1] He started his career as a television anchor in 2007. [2]

Career

Likith Shetty started his career by anchoring television shows in 2007, but he always desired to be an actor. He started his journey into acting and completed a diploma in theatre from Navarasa school of Art, Bangalore. [3] He made his film acting debut in Parole in 2010 directed by Rajshekar. [4] His next film was Oriyardori Asal (2011) in Tulu where he played the hero; it was a hit and ran for 300 days. [5] [6] Along with this he also started being an anchor for many TV shows. He has also worked in Nam Duniya Nam Style , Madime [7] and Sankashta Kara Ganapathi . [8] [9]

Tulu cinema, also known as Coastalwood, is a part of Indian cinema. The Tulu film industry produces five to seven films annually. The first Tulu film was Enna Thangadi released in 1971. Earlier, these films were released in theatres across the Tulu Nadu region. Tulu film industry has grown to such an extent that films are being released simultaneously in Mangalore, Udupi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Middle East. The critically acclaimed Tulu film Suddha won the award for the best Indian Film at the Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema held in New Delhi in 2006. Naveen D. Padil is an Indian theatre and film actor who has performed in over a thousand plays mostly in Tulu language. Known widely in the circles of Tulu theatre from his acting performances as a "Master of Comedy and Tragedy", he is called "Kusalda Arase". He is known mainly for his portrayal of comical characters.
