Lindsay Robertson

Lindsay Robertson (born 28 June 1958) is a former British marathon runner.

In 1984, 1985 and 1987 he won the Tiberias Marathon and in 1987 the Frankfurt Marathon with his personal best of 2:13:30 h.

William Goldman was an American novelist, playwright, and screenwriter. He first came to prominence in the 1950s as a novelist before turning to screenwriting. He won Academy Awards for his screenplays Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) and All the President's Men (1976). The novel was first published in 1967 in Australia by Cheshire Publishing and was reprinted by Penguin in 1975. It is widely considered by critics to be one of the best Australian novels.

Lionel Lindsay

Sir Lionel Arthur Lindsay was an Australian artist.

Anna Robertson Brown Lindsay (1864–1948) was the first woman to earn a doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania; she had previously attended Wellesley College and Oxford University. She wrote a number of books on theological topics, most of which were published in the early-1900s. Anna Robertson Brown Lindsay was the daughter of a Presbyterian minister and the first woman to graduate with a Ph.D in English from the University of Pennsylvania.

Edinburgh Marathon

The Edinburgh Marathon is an annual marathon event, governed by Scottish Athletics and run in Scotland over the traditional distance of 42.195 kilometres (26.219 mi). The first marathon event in Edinburgh was in 1982. Further marathons were held in Edinburgh in 1986 and 1999. Since 2003 the Edinburgh Marathon Festival has been held each year, usually in May. The current route begins in the city centre, moves out of Edinburgh into East Lothian, finishing at Musselburgh, East Lothian.

Anthony John Hurt is a former New Zealand rower who won two Olympic medals. At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, he teamed with Dick Joyce, Wybo Veldman, John Hunter, Lindsay Wilson, Joe Earl, Trevor Coker and Gary Robertson and Simon Dickie (cox) to win the gold medal in the eights. At the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, he again crewed the eight which this time won the Bronze medal. His crewmates this time were Alec McLean, Ivan Sutherland, Trevor Coker, Peter Dignan, Lindsay Wilson, Joe Earl and Dave Rodger and Simon Dickie (cox). In both Olympic races, he was the stroke.

Lindsay Flanagan is an American long-distance runner.

The 2019 New York City Marathon was 49th running of the annual marathon race held in New York City, United States, which took place on November 3, 2019. The men's race was won by Kenyan Geoffrey Kamworor in a time of 2:08:13 hours. The women's race was won in 2:22:38 by Kenyan Joyciline Jepkosgei, making her official debut at the distance.
