Singapore has a diverse music culture that ranges from rock and pop to folk and classical. Its various communities have their own distinct musical traditions: the Chinese form the largest ethnic group in Singapore, with Malays, Indians as well as a lesser number of other peoples of different ethnicities including Eurasians. The different people with their traditional forms of music, the various modern musical styles, and the fusion of different forms account for the musical diversity in the country.
The National Day Parade (NDP) is an annual parade held in Singapore to commemorate its independence. Held annually on 9 August, it is the main public celebration of National Day, and consists of a parade incorporating contingents of the Singapore Armed Forces, Ministry of Home Affairs, local institutions and community groups, followed by a cultural presentation featuring music, dance displays, parachuters, and a fireworks show.
Richard Lee Peng Boon is a Singaporean singer-songwriter, playwright and film director. Lee was awarded the Cultural Medallion, Singapore's pinnacle arts award, for music in 2005.
"Home" is a Singaporean song produced by Kit Chan and composed by Dick Lee. It was one of the first in a series of periodic songs commissioned for Singapore's National Day Parade, together with the other NDP song that year titled as City For The World. Released in 1998, it is sung in English with the Mandarin version being its B-side, both sung by Chan. Since its release, the song has been praised by music critics and the English version has been considered to be one of the most iconic patriotic songs that represents Singapore.
Tanya Chua is a Singaporean singer-songwriter. She launched her singing career by releasing her debut studio album Bored in 1997. She was part of the trio that sang Moments of Magic (1999), Singapore's official millennium song. Her albums, Amphibian (2005), Goodbye & Hello (2007), Sing It Out of Love (2011) and Depart (2021), each won her a Golden Melody Award for Best Mandarin Female Singer award.
Wayne Lim Junjie, professionally known as JJ Lin, is a Singaporean singer, songwriter, record producer, businessman, and a novelist. Lin launched his musical career with the release of his debut album, Music Voyager, in 2003. Lin has received three Golden Melody Awards, including one for Best New Artist and two for Best Mandarin Male Singer.
Shabir Tabare Alam, known professionally as Shabir Sulthan, is a Singaporean singer-songwriter, record producer, music composer, and performer. Most of his lyrics are in Tamil.

MICappella is a Singaporean a cappella group. They made their debut after competing in the Chinese edition of The Sing-Off, where they won second place.
Nathaniel Hartono Xiang, professionally known as Nathan Hartono, is a Singaporean singer-songwriter and actor. Hartono made his debut as a singer after he won the Teenage Icon singing competition in 2005 and released his debut album, LET ME SING! Life, Love and All That Jazz in 2006.
"Love at First Light" is a song by Singaporean artiste, Olivia Ong and child actress, Natanya Tan. Written by Paul Tan and composed by Iskandar Ismail, it was officially commissioned as the official theme song to the 2012 National Day Parade of Singapore, together with the 1995 National Day Parade song, My People, My Home which was reused for National Day in 2012. On 9 August, the song was performed twice, once by the Combined School Choirs and later by the duo themselves in a techno pop version. The techno pop version was incorporated into a medley, which includes song like "Stand Up For Singapore", "One People, One Nation, One Singapore", "Count On Me Singapore", "Home" and "We Are Singapore". The song's title is a play on the phrase, "Love at first sight".
Pek Jin Shen, better known by his stage name Shigga Shay, is a Singaporean hip hop artist, songwriter, director and music producer. He is widely acknowledged as one of the prominent figures in Singapore's music industry, celebrated for his extensive body of work. ShiGGa Shay has achieved notable accomplishments throughout his career, including being recognised as the "Unsigned Talent of The Week" by WorldStarHipHop at 17 and securing multiple #1 singles on the iTunes Singapore Charts. Furthermore, he had the distinct honour of being invited to perform at the White House Afterparty for the State Dinner in Washington, DC.
Stella Seah is a Singaporean singer-songwriter currently signed under Ocean Butterflies Music. She was discovered after winning Starhub's first reality singing contest, Academy Fantasia in 2012. She was also a semi-finalist on Campus Superstar in 2007. In admiration of her perseverance to pursue a career as a singer, an anonymous sponsor had also provided her with funding for her final year of studies in LASALLE's Diploma in Music programme. Seah is also a member of singing-songwriting duo StellaVee.
Joel Tan, better known by his stage name Gentle Bones, is a Singaporean singer-songwriter. His self-titled debut EP, released in 2014, as well as the singles released from it have charted on iTunes and Spotify, making him one of Singapore's more popular acts.
Charles Lim, better known as Charlie Lim, is a Singaporean singer-songwriter, musician, producer and artist.
Jasmine Wong, known professionally as Jasmine Sokko, is a Singaporean singer-songwriter and electronic music producer. Known for wearing her trademark visors or masks to conceal parts of her face while performing, she is one of the most-streamed Singaporean female singers on Spotify.
"The Road Ahead" is a song by Linying, Shabir Sulthan, Sezairi Sezali and Shye for the 2021 Singapore National Day parade.
