Lisa Falzone is an American businesswoman who is a co-founder of Revel Systems POS with Chris Ciabarra, an iPad point of sale company that she raised over 100 million dollars. Falzone also co-founded Athena Security, a temperature detection [1] and a walk-through metal detector [2] company that she raised 6 million dollars.

Education

Falzone graduated from Stanford University in 2007. [5] She swam three seasons for Stanford, scoring points at the Pac-10 championships in all three seasons and winning two conference titles as a member of the Cardinal swimming program in 2004 and 2005. [5] [6]

Career

Falzone’s first job was teaching swimming lessons. [5]

Falzone and Chris Ciabarra founded Revel Systems, a company that makes iPad point of sale systems, in 2010. [5] Falzone became CEO of the company. [7] In February 2017, private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe bought out Falzone. [8]

In 2014, Falzone was recognized by Business Insider as one of the 30 Most Important Women Under 30 in Tech and Forbes Magazine recognized her in its 30 under 30 awards as well. [9] [4]

Lisa Su is a Taiwanese-American business executive and electrical engineer, who is the president, chief executive officer and chair of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). Early in her career, Su worked at Texas Instruments, IBM, and Freescale Semiconductor in engineering and management positions. She is known for her work developing silicon-on-insulator semiconductor manufacturing technologies and more efficient semiconductor chips during her time as vice president of IBM's Semiconductor Research and Development Center.

Ciabarra help raise over 100m in funding at Revel. Revel was a manufacturer of point-of-sale systems which Ciabarra created on the Apple iPad. Ciabarra founded Athena Security INC with Lisa Falzone after they sold their first company to private equity. Ciabarra also created Network Intercept, a Los Angeles security software firm. Ciabarra has provided Internet security advice worldwide and to the United States Department of Homeland Security. Ciabarra in 2018 co-founded Athena Security INC which has created a "Gun Detection System" to help save student lives around the world from active shooter situations. Its technology uses cameras, thermal imaging, low-frequency electro-magnetic technology, and artificial intelligence to detect guns, potential crime such as mass shootings, and those who may have an elevated temperature caused by infection with COVID-19.
