Alescia Nicole Knowles-Smith (born September 29, 1983), who goes by the stage name Lisa Knowles-Smith, is an American gospel musician. She started her music career, in 1996. They returned with the release of, Experience the Evolution, that was released independently and topped Billboard's Top Gospel Albums Chart. The second album, The Evolution Continues, released in 2014 by One Voice Media. This album would chart on two Billboard charts the Gospel Albums chart, and the Independent Albums chart.

Early life

Knowles was born on September 29, [1] 1983, [2] in Memphis, Tennessee, as Alescia Nicole Knowles. [3]

Music career

Her music career got started in 1996, in a group with her mother, grandmother, and cousins. This album that was released independently [4] She released her second album, The Evolution Continues, on March 10, 2014, by One Voice Media. [5] This was her breakthrough released on the Billboard charts, and it placed at No. 6 on the Gospel Albums chart along with at No. 40 on the Independent Albums chart. [6] She is nominated at the 30th Stellar Awards in the following categories: Traditional Group/Duo of the Year, Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year, and Quartet of the Year. [7] She wins Traditional Group/Duo of the Year, and Quartet of The Year.

Heart to Yours is the debut solo studio album by American singer and songwriter Michelle Williams. Released on April 16, 2002, by Sanctuary and Columbia Records, it became the first solo release of any Destiny's Child member. Production of the album began in 2001, with Williams working with an array of producers, including her brother Erron Williams, HR Crump and Warryn Campbell. Heart to Yours is primarily a contemporary gospel album, which incorporates elements of other styles and genres such as neo-soul, inspirational, R&B and rock music. The album includes a tribute, dedicated to the victims and families affected by the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States. Writing on her vocal performances, critics drew comparisons to Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Ross, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott.

Elbernita Dionne "Twinkie" Clark is an American, Grammy Award-winning gospel singer, songwriter, composer, record producer, musician, and evangelist. Clark is best known as the chief executive writer and member of the American gospel singing group the Clark Sisters. Often called the "Mother of Contemporary Gospel Music"; NPR named her one of the 50 Great Voices. Known for her use of the Hammond Organ, she is often referred to as the "Queen of the B3 Hammond Organ", and was inducted into the Hammond Hall of Fame in 2014. She is a BMI Gospel Trailblazer honoree, and is the recipient of multiple Grammy Awards.

Trin-i-tee 5:7 is an American gospel girl group formed in 1997. The original lineup composed of Chanelle Haynes, Angel Taylor, and Terri Brown-Britton. The group was launched into mainstream recognition following the release of their best-selling debut album, Trin-i-tee 5:7 (1998), which contained the top-charting gospel single "God's Grace". The album became certified gold. Despite critical and commercial success, the group experienced a lineup change when as Terri Brown left the group in 1999.

Dorinda Grace Clark-Cole is an American Grammy Award-winning gospel singer, songwriter, musician, talk show host, and evangelist. Clark–Cole is best known as a member of family vocal group The Clark Sisters and as a daughter of pioneering choral director Mattie Moss Clark. As a member of The Clark Sisters, Clark–Cole has won two Grammy Awards. She is known to the music world as the Rose of Gospel Music.

Sheri Jones-Moffett, is an American gospel musician. She started her music career, in 1992, with the Tri City Singers, which was a group assembled and led by Donald Lawrence. Her solo career got started in 2009 with Renewed that was released by EMI Gospel. She got a Grammy Award nomination for Renewed at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards in the Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album category. She released the second album, Power & Authority, in 2014 by Motown Gospel. These albums both chart on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart.

Monica Lisa Stevenson is an American gospel musician. Her first album, Finally...in God's Time, was released by Monicazmuzik in 2009. The subsequent album, Live in Atlanta, was released in 2013 by Central South Records. This was a Billboard magazine breakthrough release on the Gospel Albums chart and Heatseekers Albums chart. She was nominated at the 2009 Stellar Awards in two categories.

Her solo music career began in 2013, and has since released two albums with Entertainment One Music, which both charted on the Billboard charts. She won a Grammy Award for Best Gospel Album at the 57th edition of the event. Since May 2016, she has been the host of Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell with comedian Griff, currently distributed by Reach Media, the syndication arm of Urban One.
