Lishan Dula Gemechu (born February 17, 1987, in Ethiopia) is a long-distance runner for Bahrain. [1] She competed in the marathon at the 2012 Summer Olympics, placing 62nd with a time of 2:36:20. [2]

The men's marathon has been present on the Olympic athletics programme since the first modern Olympics in 1896. Nearly ninety years later, the women's event was added to the programme at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
