The Chief Justice of Malta is the primus inter pares of the members of the Maltese judiciary and leads the business of the Superior Courts of Malta.

Protector-class coastal patrol boat

The Protector-class coastal patrol boats are a class of coastal patrol boats of the Maritime Squadron of the Armed Forces of Malta. They are 87-foot (27 m) patrol boats based on the Stan 2600 patrol vessel design from the Netherlands shipbuilding firm Damen Group. The Hong Kong Police were the first organization to order vessels based on this design. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has 73 patrol boats of this class, where they are known as the Marine Protector class. Malta ordered two vessels, and they were built by Bollinger Shipyards to the USCG specifications. They were given pennant numbers P51 and P52. In 2013, both patrol boats were upgraded with new equipment including infrared cameras and a rigid hull inflatable boat. The new equipment cost €1.7 million and was co-funded by the European Union’s External Fund.

Centenary Stadium

The Centenary Stadium is a stadium located in Ta' Qali, Malta. The stadium, which is situated next to the National Stadium, houses the headquarters of the Malta Youth Football Association. It seats 3,000 and serves as the home stadium of the Malta national under-21 football team. The stadium, together with three other stadiums, also hosts matches of the Maltese Premier League, Maltese First Division and Maltese FA Trophy.

2017 Maltese general election

General elections were held in Malta on Saturday, 3 June 2017. The elections were contested by the Labour Party, led by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, the Nationalist Party, led by opposition leader Simon Busuttil, and four other parties; making it the most parties fielding candidates since 1962. The result was a victory for the Labour Party, with 55% of the popular vote. Voter turnout reached 92%.

Franco Debono Maltese politician

Franco Debono is the former Commissioner of Laws of Malta, appointed by the Labour-led administration of Joseph Muscat on 24 March 2013. Debono is a criminal defence lawyer. From 2008 until 2013 served one term as Member of Parliament for the Nationalist Party. During his stay in parliament, Debono became known for frequently rebelling against the Cabinet led by Lawrence Gonzi, which Debono considered an "evil clique" and held responsible for suffocating meritocracy. Debono's opposition was especially noteworthy, because said Cabinet was formed by the Nationalist Party - the same party in whose name Debono contested the previous elections.

Konrad Mizzi Maltese politician

Konrad Mizzi is a Maltese Labour politician, currently serving as a Member of Parliament and as the Minister for Tourism in Malta. He served as Minister for Energy and the Conservation of Water between 2013 and 2014, Minister for Energy and Health from 2014 until 2016, and as a Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister in April 2016.

Jason Azzopardi is a Maltese politician. He graduated as Doctor of Laws with a master's degree in financial services from the University of Malta in 1996 and that year he started practicing as a private criminal lawyer in the courts of Malta.

Marsa Battery was an artillery battery in Marsa, Malta, built by Maltese insurgents during the French blockade of 1798-1800. It was part of a chain of batteries, redoubts and entrenchments encircling the French positions in Marsamxett and the Grand Harbour.
