List of Danish government ministries, past and present. In Denmark, ministries change often, both when new governments are installed and during specific governments rule. Names are changed, the organizational structure is changed, some ministries are fused, some are discontinued, some are revived, some are newly created. There are currently 18 ministries in the Cabinet of Denmark. The Minister for Nordic Cooperation serves as a minister without portfolio, and thus no "Ministry of Nordic Cooperation" exists.

Nordic Council Geo-political inter-parliamentary forum for co-operation between the Nordic countries

The Nordic Council is the official body for formal inter-parliamentary Nordic cooperation among the Nordic countries. Formed in 1952, it has 87 representatives from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden as well as from the autonomous areas of the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland. The representatives are members of parliament in their respective countries or areas and are elected by those parliaments. The Council holds ordinary sessions each year in October/November and usually one extra session per year with a specific theme. The council's official languages are Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, and Swedish, though it uses only the mutually intelligible Scandinavian languages—Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish—as its working languages. These three comprise the first language of around 80% of the region's population and are learned as a second or foreign language by the remaining 20%.

Marianne Jelved Danish politician

Marianne Bruus Jelved is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Danish Social Liberal Party. She was elected into parliament in the 1994 Danish general election and previously sat in parliament from 1987 to 1993. She is a former Minister of Economic Affairs, Nordic Cooperation, Culture and Ecclesiastical Affairs.

The Danish Social Liberal Party is a social-liberal political party in Denmark. The party was founded as a split from the Venstre Reform Party in 1905.

Bertel Haarder Danish politician

Bertel Geismar Haarder is a Danish writer, teacher and politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Venstre political party. He has served as minister several times, including Minister of Education from 1982 to 1993 and again in 2005 to 2010, and most recently as Minister for Culture and Ecclesiastical Affairs from 2015 to 2016 in the L. L. Rasmussen II Cabinet. He is a former member of European Parliament, serving from 1994 to 2001. He has also served as president of Nordic Council on two occasions, first in 2011 and latest from 2020 to 2021.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and its overseas representations are in charge of the Danish Realm's foreign policy and relations. Among these tasks are policy towards the Arctic Council, European Union, Nordic Council, development aid, trade policy and legal affairs in relation to the outside world.

Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark is the politically appointed head of the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and a member of the Cabinet. Since 27 June 2019, Mogens Jensen, from the social democratic party Socialdemokratiet, has served as Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries in the Mette Frederiksen I cabinet, as well as being Minister for Gender Equality and Minister for Nordic Cooperation.

The Danish Ministry of Health is a Danish governmental ministry responsible for healthcare policy in Denmark. First created as an independent ministry in 1926, it has at various times been combined with the Ministry of the Interior as the Ministry of Interior and Health, most recently in 2010–2011, and has had various names. The current Minister for Health and Senior Citizens is Magnus Heunicke, and the Permanent Secretary since 11 January 2021 is Svend Særkjær.

Denmark–Mozambique relations refers to the current and historical relations between Denmark and Mozambique. Denmark has an embassy in Maputo, and Mozambique is represented in Denmark, through its embassy in Stockholm, Sweden with an honorary consulate in Copenhagen. Diplomatic relations were established on 26 June 1975, but relations date back to before Mozambique achieved independence. The Danish Institute for Human Rights has worked with Mozambique since 1997. In 2000, Denmark signed an agreement with Finance Minister Luisa Diogo about implementation of mechanisms.

Nordic-Baltic Eight Regional co-operation format

Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) is a regional co-operation format that includes Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden. Under NB8, regular meetings are held of the Baltic and Nordic countries' Prime Ministers, Speakers of Parliaments, Foreign Ministers, branch ministers, Secretaries of State and political directors of Foreign Ministries, as well as expert consultations where regional issues and current international topics are reviewed.

Flemming Møller Mortensen Danish politician

Flemming Møller Mortensen is a Danish politician of the Social Democrats who has been serving as a member of the Folketing since the 2007 elections. He is currently serving as Minister for Development and Nordic Cooperation in the government of Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

Dorte Marianne Bennedsen was an Danish theologian and politician of the Social Democrats. She served as the Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs between October 1971 and December 1973 and was the Minister of Education from January 1979 to September 1982. Bennedsen was Holmen Church's auxiliary pastor from 1965 to 1968 and was chair of the Danish Association for Nordic Collaboration between 1984 and 1999. She was a member of the Folketing from January 1975 until she stood down in November 2001.
