[1] The band currently consists of Good alongside guitarist and unclean vocalist Travis Richter and drummer Derek Bloom (both of whom first joined in 2002).
Nelms was soon replaced by Steve Pullman after he was too young to travel with the band. This line-up played small shows around Florida for the next three years. The band were joined by Travis Richter on second guitar and vocals in 2002, while Joey Antillion replaced Oord on bass. [1]

After releasing EP Aesthetic in 2003, the band parted ways with Antillion on September 5, 2003, he was replaced by Jon Weisberg. [2] Reardon also left. Matt Good was initially going to move to lead vocals and Sonny Moore was going to join on guitar, although Moore ended up taking lead vocals. [3]
Before recording their second album in 2005, Weisberg was asked to leave. He was briefly replaced by Alicia Simmons, [4] and Mikey Way, [5] before Wes Borland joined on a more permanent basis. [6] [7] The band were also joined by touring keyboardist Chris Lent, [8] who had previously been drum tech. [9]
Borland left in mid 2006 due to other commitments. Moore also left in February 2007 to pursue a solo career. [10] Good moved onto lead vocals, the band were also joined by Matt Manning as permanent bassist. [6] This new line-up released a self titled album in 2008. In late 2009, the band parted ways with Richter. [11] Richer was replaced by Blake Steiner, [12] who played on Throne to the Wolves . Following its release the band went on hiatus. [13]
In November 2013, Good, Bloom, Manning and Richter reunited to record, but by the time they came to recorded the line-up had changed to include vocalist Spencer Sotelo of Periphery, drummer Ernie Slenkovich and third guitarist Taylor Larson. [14] [15] [16] The band released Dead Trees in 2015, and after other activities Sotelo left the band in August 2016. [17]
The band reunited with Moore in January 2017, [18] alongside new drummer Travis Barker, [19] Larson and Slenkovich were absent, Bloom also returned later in 2017. [20] Good returned to lead vocals in September 2023 after a period of inactivity since 2019. [21] Moore's status in the band is unconfirmed.

From First to Last is an American rock band formed in Tampa, Florida by Matt Good, Scott Oord, and Parker Nelms in November 1999. The current line-up consists of Matt Good, Travis Richter, and Derek Bloom (drums).
Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount is the debut studio album by American post-hardcore band From First to Last. It was released on June 29, 2004, through Epitaph Records. The title was taken from a monologue in the film Heathers, in which Winona Ryder's character is writing in her diary. Production was handled by Lee Dyess and the band themselves. The album was remastered by Beau Burchell from Saosin, however, it is not indicated on the personnel, possibly due to a contemporary feud between the band. The album is also notable for being one of the earliest projects featuring singer and multi-instrumentalist Sonny Moore.
Aesthetic is the debut EP by American rock band From First to Last, released in 2003. It was the band's first release before their debut album, Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count. Early pressings contain the band's original name, First Too Last, but later pressings have the name changed when the band added the "From" to the beginning of their name.
Derek Bloom is an American musician and singer, known for drumming in post-hardcore band From First to Last for all of their time as a band until their revival. He left From First to Last in November 2013, later rejoining in 2017. He is also the drummer for his grindcore side-project with Travis Richter, known as The Color of Violence.
Heroine is the second studio album by American post-hardcore band From First to Last. It was released on March 21, 2006 through Epitaph Records. It is the band's only album to feature Wes Borland, who plays bass, and the band's last album to feature lead vocalist Sonny Moore before his first departure from the band in early 2007.
Travis Brandon Richter is an American musician, singer and record producer. He is known for being a vocalist and guitarist in the band From First to Last and the lead vocalist of The Color of Violence and The Human Abstract. He is also a record producer and in 2018 cofounded a music venue in Los Angeles, CA called "1720", with Alex Alereza (Nekrogoblikon) and Brett Powell.
Matthew Aaron Good is an American musician, singer and record producer. He is best known for being the lead guitarist, lead vocalist and the only constant member of the post-hardcore band From First to Last from its conception in 1999 until now. He was formerly the guitarist of grindcore band The Color of Violence, which featured future From First to Last members Travis Richter, Derek Bloom, and Joey Antillon. He joined Chiodos vocalist Craig Owens' band, D.R.U.G.S., eventually moving on to produce music under the name Kit Fysto with friend AJ Calderon. He currently owns and operates a music recording studio in Tempe, Arizona called Good Sounds and plays guitar in From First to Last. He also produced Asking Alexandria's self titled album, which was released on 15 December 2017.
The Color of Violence is an American experimental band, currently a side project of the post-hardcore band From First to Last. It features drummer Derek Bloom and vocalist/guitarist Travis Richter. The Color of Violence is a way for the members to experiment and have fun with music outside of their other group.
From First to Last is the third album by Post-Hardcore band From First to Last, released on May 6, 2008 through Suretone and Interscope Records. "Two as One" is the album's first single, which hit the radio on March 17. This is the first full-length album by the band without Sonny Moore (Skrillex) as lead vocalist; the band's guitarist, Matt Good, takes over from him. In contrast to the band's previous album Heroine, the album features a more accessible, alternative rock sound.
Chris Lent is an American drummer and keyboardist, formerly a member of the post-hardcore band From First to Last, and of the experimental metal band I Set My Friends on Fire.
Throne to the Wolves is the fourth studio album by the post-hardcore band From First to Last. This was the only album by From First to Last to be released on the record label Rise Records and is the first and only album the band made without guitarist and backup singer Travis Richter. It is also the band's only release with guitarist Blake Steiner and the band's last release before their hiatus in 2010, until the band's reunion in 2013 whereupon they announced the recording of a new album. No song of the album has become a single, but "Going Lohan", "Cashing Out" and "I'll Inoculate the World with the Virus of My Disillusionment" were released in 2009, before album release, via MySpace for free listening.
Periphery is an American progressive metal band that was formed in Washington, D.C., in 2005. Their musical style has been described as progressive metal, djent, and progressive metalcore. They are considered one of the pioneers of the djent movement within progressive metal. They have also received a Grammy nomination. The band consists of vocalist Spencer Sotelo, guitarists Misha Mansoor, Mark Holcomb, Jake Bowen, and drummer Matt Halpern.
Periphery is the debut studio album by American progressive metal band Periphery. It was released on April 20, 2010 through Sumerian Records, and was produced by the band themselves and Matt Murphy. Many songs on the tracklist had been written long before the release date—with some written by original lead vocalist Casey Sabol—but due to membership changes, the album was postponed on several occasions. Former vocalist Chris Barretto had nearly finished recording the album before he and the band parted ways months before its release. Rather than release the songs with Barretto's vocals, the band decided to rerecord Barretto's songs with Spencer Sotelo; however, Sotelo only re-worked a few of the melodies when recording vocals, versus writing completely new lyrics. As a result, Sabol's and Barretto's lyrics and vocal melodies and harmonies are still featured on the record. The album was re-released on February 6, 2012 as a 'Special Edition' including instrumentals, along with a new song "Passenger", originally recorded by guitarist Mark Holcomb during his time in the band Haunted Shores. This is the only album to feature guitarist Alex Bois and bassist Tom Murphy.
Sonny John Moore, known professionally as Skrillex, is an American DJ and record producer. Raised in Northeast Los Angeles and Northern California, he joined the post-hardcore band From First to Last as its lead vocalist in 2004, and recorded two studio albums with the band—Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount (2004) and Heroine in (2006)—before leaving to pursue a solo career in 2007. He began his first tour as a solo artist in late 2007. After recruiting a new band lineup, Moore joined the Alternative Press Tour to support bands such as All Time Low and the Rocket Summer, and appeared on the cover of Alternative Press's annual "100 Bands You Need to Know" issue.
Clear is the second EP by American progressive metal band Periphery. It was released on January 28, 2014 through Sumerian Records. This EP is an experimental work for the band: aside from the intro track, each member of the band composed a track and covered the role of creative director over that track.
Monuments are a British progressive metal band formed by former Fellsilent guitarist, John Browne, and former Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza guitarist, Josh Travis. The band has released four studio albums through Century Media Records: Gnosis (2012), The Amanuensis (2014), Phronesis (2018) and In Stasis (2022).
Dead Trees is the fifth studio album by post-hardcore band From First to Last, released April 23, 2015, via Sumerian Records. It is the first and only release to feature vocalist Spencer Sotelo, Taylor Larson as third guitarist, and new drummer, Ernie Slenkovich. Returning to the group is guitarist/vocalist and founder Travis Richter, who had left the band in 2009. The band planned for the release to be an EP but due to the success of their Kickstarter campaign, the band had enough money to fund this LP.
Periphery III: Select Difficulty is the fifth studio album by American progressive metal band Periphery. The album was released July 22, 2016 through Sumerian Records, and was produced by Misha Mansoor and Adam Getgood. The opening track, "The Price Is Wrong", was nominated for Best Metal Performance in the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. It is the last album the band released on this label. It is also the last album to feature bassist Adam "Nolly" Getgood as an official member of Periphery before he left the band in 2017, though he still returned on Periphery IV: Hail Stan to produce, engineer, and mix the album, in addition to contributing final bass parts.
Nocturnal Masquerade is the debut studio album by American metalcore band Toothgrinder. The album was released on January 29, 2016, through Spinefarm Records. This is the last release to feature guitarist Matt Mielke.
Matt Halpern is an American drummer best known for his work with progressive metal band Periphery.
