Eric Demetric Dickerson is an American former professional football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. Dickerson played college football for the Mustangs of Southern Methodist University and was recognized as an All-American. The 1984 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held May 1–2, 1984, at the Omni Park Central Hotel in New York City, New York. No teams elected to claim any players in the regular supplemental draft that year. The NFL did have a special supplemental draft for college seniors who had already signed with the USFL or CFL on June 5, 1984.

Andrew Uram Jr. was an American football running back and defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) who played for the Green Bay Packers. Uram played collegiate ball for the University of Minnesota before being drafted by the Packers in the sixth round of the 1938 NFL draft. He played professionally for six seasons from 1938 to 1943. After the 1943 NFL season, Uram served in the United States Navy during World War II. In 1973, Uram was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. He died in 1984, at the age of 69.

Richard James Johnson is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback for eight seasons with the Houston Oilers of the National Football League (NFL). He was an All-American and All-Big Ten cornerback in 1984 for the Wisconsin Badgers. He was selected by the Oilers in the first round of the 1985 NFL Draft with the 11th overall pick.

The Washington Commanders are a professional American football franchise based in the Washington metropolitan area.
