The Haruhi Suzumiya video games have been published by Namco Bandai Games, Banpresto, Kadokawa Shoten, and Sega. The games revolve around Haruhi Suzumiya, a high school girl who is obsessed with the supernatural. To find the supernatural, she forms the SOS Brigade to investigate mysterious happenings with four other members: Kyon, Yuki Nagato, Mikuru Asahina, and Itsuki Koizumi. Games have been released on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation Portable, and Nintendo DS, as well as mobile devices. The series features several genres including adventure games, visual novels, and a music video game. The series debuted in Japan on December 27, 2007 with Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku. The series contains eight released games, the latest of which being Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Mahjong released in July 2011.

Game Arts Co., Ltd. is a Japanese developer and publisher of video games located in Chiyoda, Tokyo. Originally established in 1985 as a computer software company, it expanded into producing for a number of game console and handheld systems. Its President and CEO in 2007 was Yoichi Miyaji at which time it was a member of the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association of Japan (CESA). Its major trading partners then included Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Koei Tecmo, and Gung-Ho Online Entertainment, some of whom co-developed or produced games in cooperation with the company.
Haruhi Suzumiya is a fictional character introduced as the title character and heroine of the Japanese media franchise Haruhi Suzumiya, created by Nagaru Tanigawa. Haruhi first appears in the novel volumes which began in 2003, and later appears in the anime television series adaptation by Kyoto Animation, and the animated film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. She also appears in related media in the franchise including the manga adaptation, two original net animation series, and video games. Aya Hirano voices Haruhi in Japanese in all her animated appearances, and Wendee Lee voices her in the English dub. She is also portrayed by Patricia Ja Lee and Cristina Vee in the live action series ASOS Brigade.
Nagaru Tanigawa is a Japanese author. He is a graduate of the law school at Kwansei Gakuin University. He is best known as the creator of the Haruhi Suzumiya series for which he won the grand prize at the eighth annual Sneaker Awards and has been adapted into an anime television series. While Tanigawa was on hiatus from writing his light novel series, he wrote the manga series Amnesia Labyrinth, which was serialized in Dengeki Bunko Magazine.
"Hare Hare Yukai" is the ending theme song to the 2006 anime adaptation of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The song is performed by the characters of the series: Haruhi Suzumiya, Yuki Nagato, and Mikuru Asahina. It was released as a physical single of the same title on May 10, 2006 by Lantis with the B-side "Welcome Unknown", the ending theme song to the radio show The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: SOS Brigade Radio Division that was also performed by the same actresses. "Hare Hare Yukai" has also appeared as a song in the The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Character Song CD series, of which each character has their own solo version of the song, performed by their respective voice actor in the series.

Satoru Kōsaki is a Japanese music composer and arranger. He is best known for his work on anime, including Lucky Star, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Monogatari and Beastars. He worked at Namco, where he primarily composed soundtracks for video games. Since 2005, he has been affiliated with Keiichi Okabe's music production company Monaca, where he has often collaborated with his colleagues to produce soundtracks for anime and other media.
The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is a 2010 Japanese animated drama film based on the fourth Haruhi Suzumiya light novel of the same name written by Nagaru Tanigawa. It was produced by Kyoto Animation, written by Fumihiko Shimo and directed by Tatsuya Ishihara and Yasuhiro Takemoto. It was released in Japanese theaters on February 6, 2010 and on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on December 18, 2010.
Marvelous Inc. is a Japanese video game developer and publisher, and anime producer. The company was founded in 1997 but formed in its current state on October 2011 by the merger of the original Marvelous Entertainment with AQ Interactive, and Liveware.

Its offices in Malaysia and Singapore, Bandai Namco Studio Malaysia and Bandai Namco Studios Singapore, are based out of Selangor, Malaysia and Infinite Studios, Singapore respectively. Bandai Namco Studios is a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Entertainment, which itself is a subsidiary of Bandai Namco Holdings. The company works under its parent company as a keiretsu; Bandai Namco Studios creates video games for home consoles, handheld systems, mobile devices and arcade hardware, while Bandai Namco Entertainment handles the managing, marketing and publishing of these products.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a 2022 Klonoa video game compilation developed by Monkey Craft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It features remasters of the platform games Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (1997), originally released on PlayStation, and Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil (2001), originally released on PlayStation 2. The remaster of Door to Phantomile is built from its 2008 Wii remake developed by Paon.
