Amrish Puri Indian actor (1932–2005)

Amrish Puri was an Indian actor who was an important figure in Indian theatre and cinema. Lollywood refers to the Pakistani Urdu and Punjabi-language film industry based in Lahore. Since the partition of India in 1947, Lahore has been the center of Pakistani cinema, with films being produced both in Urdu and Punjabi. The word "Lollywood" is a portmanteau of "Lahore" and "Hollywood", coined in 1989 by Glamour magazine gossip columnist Saleem Nasir, and is usually used comparatively with respect to other industries in South Asian cinema.

He gained national attention in 1980 with the song "Dil Da Mamla Hai". Since then, he has gone on to record over 34 albums and has written over 305 songs. Surinder Kaur Musical artist

Surinder Kaur was an Indian singer and songwriter. While she mainly sang Punjabi folk songs, where she is credited for pioneering and popularising the genre, Kaur also recorded songs as a playback singer for Hindi films between 1948 and 1952. For her contributions to Punjabi music, she earned the sobriquet Nightingale of Punjab, the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1984, and the Padma Shri in 2006.

Of these, the first three flow through Indian Punjab, while the latter two flow entirely through Punjab, Pakistan.

Super Singh was the first Punjabi superhero movie ever. The film is a mix of comedy and action. It was filmed in Montreal, Canada, and in India. Super Singh is considered one of the best & highest grossing films of actors Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa and Punjabi cinema. Super Singh was released worldwide on 16 June 2017. It marked the fifth collaboration between Diljit Dosanjh and director Anurag Singh. It was declared “Below Average” at the box office due to the High Budget.
