The National Movement is a Polish far-right ultranationalist political party. It is led by Krzysztof Bosak. It claims spiritual descendance from the prewar movement of Roman Dmowski, the National Democracy, which was also commonly called the National Movement.

He publicly supports European integration, the introduction of same-sex marriage, ecological transformation and a greater role for local governments in voivodeships.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Confederation Liberty and Independence</span> Political party and coalition in Poland

The Confederation Liberty and Independence, frequently shortened to just Confederation, is a far-right political alliance in Poland. It was initially founded in 2018 as a political coalition for the 2019 European Parliament election in Poland, although it was later expanded into a political party in order to circumvent the 8% vote threshold for coalitions to enter the national parliament. It won 11 seats in the Sejm after the 2019 Polish parliamentary election. Its candidate for the 2020 Polish presidential election was Krzysztof Bosak, who placed fourth among eleven candidates.

Przemysław Czarnek is a Polish politician and academic, who was voivode of the Lubelskie Voivodeship from 2015–2019. He was elected in 2019 as a member of the 9th Sejm as a member of Law and Justice. Czarnek is notable for his opposition to LGBT rights, his controversial comments on women's rights, and supporting corporal punishment for children. He filed a criminal case in opposition to the recognition of Ukrainian victims of the Home Army in the 1944 Sahryń massacre.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Bartosz Staszewski</span> Polish LGBT activist and film director (born 1990)

Bartosz (Bart)Staszewski (born 23 September 1990) is a Polish filmmaker and LGBT activist. He is the creator of the documentary Article Eighteen, co-founder of the Equality March in Lublin association and the Miłość Nie Wyklucza foundation ('Love Does Not Exclude'), which promotes same-sex marriage in Poland. Staszewski was the target of death threats and intimidation in 2019 and 2021 in relation to his activism.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Magdalena Biejat</span> Polish politician (born 1982)

Magdalena Agnieszka Biejat is a Polish politician and translator of Spanish-language literature. She was a member of the Sejm for Warsaw I between 2019 and 2023, when she was elected to Senate for the 45th district. Since 13 November 2023, she has served as a Deputy Marshal of the Senate. She is currently one of the leaders of The Left coalition, and was one of the co-leaders of Left Together until her departure from the party in October 2024.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Piotr Zgorzelski</span> Polish politician

Piotr Zgorzelski is a Polish politician and teacher, who served as the starosta of Płock County from 2010 to 2011. He was elected to serve as an MP in the Sejm in 2011, re-elected in 2015, 2019, and 2023. He has been serving as a Deputy Marshal of the Sejm since 12 November 2019.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2025 Polish presidential election</span>

Presidential elections will be held in Poland on 4, 11 or 18 May 2025, though they can be held earlier should the office become vacated as a result of death, resignation or removal from office of the incumbent. Due to constitutional term limits limiting a president to serve only two terms, incumbent president Andrzej Duda is ineligible for re-election. Presidential elections in Poland must take place on a day free from work between 75 and 100 days before the term ends.

The New Left is a social-democratic political party in Poland. It is positioned on the centre-left on the political spectrum. Its leaders are Włodzimierz Czarzasty and Robert Biedroń.

Wanda Traczyk-Stawska ps. "Pączek", „Atma” is a Polish psychologist and social activist. She was involved in the Polish underground resistance movement during World War II, a soldier of the Home Army, a member of the Gray Ranks, a participant in the Warsaw Uprising, and chairperson of the Social Committee for the Cemetery of Warsaw Insurgents.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Riad Haidar</span> Polish politician and activist

Riad Haidar was a Polish politician, physician, and social activist. From 2019 to 2023 he was a member of the Sejm of Poland, and from 2010 to 2019 he was a member of the Lublin Voivodeship Sejmik. From 1998 to 2019 he was the medical director of the Neonatology Ward of the Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Biała Podlaska.
