Geraldo José Rodrigues Alckmin Filho is a Brazilian physician and politician currently serving as 26th vice president of Brazil. He previously was the Governor of São Paulo for two nonconsecutive terms, the longest serving since democratization, 2001 to 2006 and 2011 to 2018.
Maria Evangelina Leonel Gandolfo, known as Vange Leonel, was a Brazilian singer-songwriter, rhythm guitarist, journalist, blogger, cronista, novelist, playwright, beer sommelier, and feminist and LGBT rights activist. Known for her distinctive soulful, bluesy vocals heavily inspired by Billie Holiday and Janis Joplin, she was famous for her work with post-punk band Nau, active from 1985 to 1989, before beginning a solo career in 1991.
Kéfera Buchmann de Mattos Johnson Pereira is a Brazilian actress, singer, TV hostess, influencer, writer and YouTuber. She has been named by Forbes as one of the most promising young women in Brazil.
Antônio Carlos Peixoto de Magalhães Neto, commonly known as ACM Neto, is a Brazilian lawyer and politician. He was the national president of the Democrats (DEM), and is currently general secretary of the Brazil Union. He is the grandson of deceased Senator and Governor of Bahia Antônio Carlos Magalhães (ACM), nephew of Luís Eduardo Magalhães and son of Antônio Carlos Magalhães Júnior, and political inheritor of one of the most powerful political families of the country. He was elected mayor of Salvador in 2012 and reelected in 2016. During both of his terms as mayor he was rated the most popular mayor in Brazil.
The 2018 Brazil truck drivers' strike, also called the diesel crisis, was a strike of self-employed truck drivers that began on 21 May 2018.
The 2020 São Paulo municipal election took place in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, with the first round taking place on 15 November 2020 and the second round taking place on 29 November 2020. Voters voted to elect the Mayor, the Vice Mayor and 55 city councillors for the administration of the city. The result was a 2nd round victory for incumbent Mayor Bruno Covas of the Brazilian Social Democratic Party (PSDB), winning 3,169,121 votes and a share of 59,38% of the popular vote, defeating political activist Guilherme Boulos of the Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL), who took 2,168,109 votes and a share of 40.62% of the popular vote.

Luis Carlos Heinze is a federal senator of Brazil representing his home state of Rio Grande do Sul. He was previously served in the Chamber of Deputies from 1999 to 2019 and was mayor of São Borja from 1993 to 1996.

Municipal elections took place in Brazil on 15 November 2020. Electors chose Mayors, Vice-Mayors and City Councillors of all 5,568 cities of the country. The partisan conventions took place between 31 August and 16 September. They were the first elections since Bolsonaro's election as President.
The 2022 São Paulo state election took place in the state of São Paulo, Brazil on 2 October 2022 and 30 October 2022. Voters elected a Governor, Vice Governor, one Senator, 70 representatives for the Chamber of Deputies, and 94 Legislative Assembly members. The incumbent Governor, Rodrigo Garcia, of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB), was eligible for a second term and ran for reelection.

Erika Santos Silva, known as Erika Hilton, is a Brazilian politician and activist for black and LGBT rights. Hilton studied teaching and gerontology before entering politics.
Miss Brazil 2021, officially Miss Universe Brazil 2021, was the 66th edition of the Miss Brazil pageant, and the first under the new Miss Universe Brazil management. The competition was filmed on 7 November 2021 on board the MSC Preziosa, and aired on 9 November. In order to preserve the secrecy of the results before its airdate, crowning moments for all three finalists were filmed, while only the one of the winner was aired.

Linda Brasil Azevedo Santos is a teacher, LGBT rights activist, and politician who became the first trans woman elected to a parliamentary position in the state of Sergipe, Brazil. She was elected in 2020 as a member of the Socialism and Liberty Party.
Miss Brazil 2009 was the 55th edition of the Miss Brazil pageant. It was held on 9 May 2009 at the Latin American Memorial Complex in São Paulo, São Paulo State, Brazil and was hosted by Nayla Micherif and Renata Fan. Natálya Anderle of Rio Grande do Sul crowned her successor Larissa Costa of Rio Grande do Norte at the end of the event. Costa represented Brazil at the Miss Universe 2009 pageant. 1st Runner-Up, Rayanne Morais of Minas Gerais represented the country at Miss International 2009.
The 2022–2023 Brazilian election protests began shortly after the conclusion of the 2022 Brazilian general election's second round on 30 October, in which Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was elected president, which led to mass protests and roadblocks nationwide. Supporters of Jair Bolsonaro, who are frequently referred to in media accounts as Bolsonaristas, alleging election fraud, began blocking roads and highways in the country. At least 23 Brazilian states, plus the Federal District, recorded roadblocks as of 1 November, adding up to at least 267 roadblocks according to data from Federal Highway Police (PRF).
