The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is a men's professional basketball league in the Philippines composed of twelve company-branded franchised teams. Founded in 1975, it is the first professional basketball league in Asia and is the second-oldest continuously operating professional basketball league in the world after North America's NBA.
Allan Vito Flores Caidic is a Filipino former professional basketball player, coach and executive who is currently serving as consultant for San Sebastian Stags. He is considered by many to be the greatest shooter the country has ever produced, thus, earning the moniker, "The Triggerman".

Daniel Charles Yadao Seigle is a Filipino-American basketball coach and former professional basketball player. He is the former head of basketball operations of the De La Salle Green Archers men's basketball team and a team consultant for the San Miguel Alab Pilipinas of the ASEAN Basketball League. He last played for the TNT KaTropa of the Philippine Basketball Association. He won the 1999 PBA Rookie of the Year and led San Miguel to six championships during his career. He is also a two-time member of the Philippine national basketball team.
Kerby Mariano Raymundo is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He last played for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Known as The Kid, he was a former star player with the Letran Knights during his NCAA years.

Hector Calma is a Filipino former professional basketball player. At 5 feet and 8 inches, he played at the point guard position and was most notably associated with the San Miguel Beer team of the Philippine Basketball Association.
The Philippine Basketball Association draft is an annual event dating back to 1985 in which the twelve teams from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) can draft players who are eligible and wish to join the league. The draft usually takes place between October and December, during the league's off-season. No player may sign with the PBA until he has been eligible for at least one draft.
The PBA Leo Awards, formerly known as the PBA MVP Awards Night (1975–1992) and PBA Annual Awards (1993–2002) is an annual awards ceremony of the Philippine Basketball Association to honor the achievements of its players for the season. The winners are awarded with The Leo, named in honor of the league's first commissioner, Leo Prieto.

Gary Ocampo David is a Filipino professional basketball player who last played for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He is a five-time All-Star and co-holds the longest streak for consecutive games recording 20 points or more. Famously known as "El Granada" or "Mr. Pure Energy", he is widely hailed by fans and Hall of Famers as one of the best scorers of all-time in the PBA.
The Ynares Sports Arena is an indoor arena located in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines. The stadium has hosted the basketball games of the Philippine Basketball Association, Philippine Basketball League, and Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, as well as college basketball tournaments. The arena was built in the former location of Rizal's provincial capitol, just nearby the location of former Rizal Provincial Jail Facility.
Renato "Ato" Guilas Agustin is a Filipino former professional basketball player, politician, and current assistant coach for the San Miguel Beermen. He played college basketball for the Lyceum of the Philippines before moving on to play professional basketball in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
The Philippine Patriots, known as the AirAsia Philippine Patriots from 2010 to 2012 due to sponsorship reasons with Philippines AirAsia, were a professional basketball team that played in the ASEAN Basketball League. It was the first team from the Philippines to play in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) and one of the teams that played in the inaugural season of the ABL. The team was co-owned by Michael "Mikee" Romero and businessman Antonio O. Cojuangco, Jr.

The San Miguel Beermen was a professional basketball team that played in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) from 2012 to 2013. The team was from the Philippines and owned by San Miguel Corporation (SMC). This franchise was separate and distinct from the original Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) franchise which played as the "Petron Blaze Boosters" when this team was active. The Beermen played most of their home games at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig but also played some of their games in the Olivarez College Gym, Ynares Center, and PhilSports Arena.

The San Miguel Beermen and the TNT KaTropa competed for the 17th Commissioner's Cup championship and the 120th overall championship contested by the league.
The 2017–18 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup finals was the best-of-7 championship series of the 2017–18 PBA Philippine Cup and the conclusion of the conference's playoffs. The San Miguel Beermen and the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok competed for the 40th Philippine Cup championship and the 122nd overall championship contested by the league. San Miguel won the series in 5 games to be the first team in history to win four straight Philippine Cup titles.

The 2019 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors' Cup finals was the best-of-7 championship series of the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup, and the conclusion of the conference's playoffs. The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the Meralco Bolts competed for the 19th Governors' Cup championship and the 127th overall championship contested by the league.
