The Rashtrakuta Empire were a royal Indian dynasty ruling large parts of the Indian subcontinent during the 6th to 10th centuries. [1] The Rashtrakuta Empire started under Dantidurga and continued to 982 CE. [2] The empire later weakened as a result of invasions by the Chalukyas, royal family conflicts, local rebellions, and the decline of central power. [3]
