2010 Demo

Recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. Stone Sour is hosting these demos exclusively for their fanclub named Dead Generation on their fansite, with a new demo posted every month. [1] These songs have appeared on Stone Sour's third album Audio Secrecy in 2010.

These demos are posted to allow fans to hear the evolution of their tracks. Some songs have very few changes from the demo version to the final version, such as "Digital," whereas the demo of songs as "Mrs. Suicide" and "Threadbare," contain many differences compared to the album version.

Note: It is unknown if these demos were actually ever recorded to a disk, so this track listing is actually just in the order that the songs were released to the Dead Generation fanclub online.

2012/2013 Dead Generation Demos


Josh Rand is hand picking never-before-released Stone Sour demos from the band's archives to share with club members. The first one has been posted Friday July 20, and thereafter on the 1st and the 15th of each month. Fan Club members will get first-hand insight of how Stone Sour write as a band and how their music evolves into what you hear on the albums. Some of the tracks will be extremely raw in their beginning stages, while others will sound more polished.

Slipknot (band) American alternative metal band

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa. The band was founded in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade: Crahan, Jordison, Gray, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root. Gray died on May 24, 2010, and was replaced during 2011–2014 by guitarist Donnie Steele. Jordison was dismissed from the band on December 12, 2013. Steele left during the recording sessions for .5: The Gray Chapter. The band found replacements in Alessandro Venturella on bass and Jay Weinberg on drums. After the departure of Jordison, as of December 2013 the only founding member in the current lineup is percussionist Crahan. Fehn was also dismissed from the band in March of 2019 prior to the writing of We Are Not Your Kind.

<i>Slipknot</i> (album) 1999 studio album by Slipknot

Slipknot is the eponymous debut studio album by the American heavy metal band Slipknot. It was released on June 29, 1999 by Roadrunner Records, following a demo containing a few of the songs which had previously been released in 1998. Later, it was reissued in December 1999 with a slightly-altered track listing and mastering as the result of a lawsuit. It was the first release by the band to be produced by Ross Robinson, who sought to refine Slipknot's sound rather than alter the group's musical direction. This is the only album to feature original guitarist Josh Brainard who left at the end of recording in late 1998 while the band was back in Iowa for a break, he was replaced by Jim Root who recorded two tracks at this point.

Disturbed (band) American heavy metal band

Disturbed is an American heavy metal band from Chicago, formed in 1994. The band includes vocalist David Draiman, guitarist/keyboardist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer and drummer Mike Wengren. They have had very few lineup changes, with Donegan and Wengren being the only two remaining original members. Former band members are vocalist Erich Awalt and bassist Steve Kmak. The band has released seven studio albums, five of which have consecutively debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Disturbed went into hiatus in October 2011, during which the band's members focused on various side projects, and returned in June 2015, releasing their first album in four years, Immortalized, on August 21, 2015. They also recorded and released one live album, Disturbed: Live at Red Rocks on November 18, 2016, which was recorded on August 18, 2016, at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, located about 10 miles west of Denver, Colorado. Their seventh studio album, Evolution, was released on October 19, 2018.

VAST is an American alternative rock band based in Seattle, United States. The acronym VAST stands for Visual Audio Sensory Theater and is the main creation of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jon Crosby. The band is signed to 2blossoms, an independent record company created by Crosby.

Deadsy band

Deadsy is an American industrial rock/industrial metal band from Los Angeles, California. The band is known for its visual iconography and signature characteristics assigned to each band member. Each musician is identified by a specific color, stage name, and graphic tied into the band's theatrical nature. The band has released three studio albums. After independently releasing a self-titled debut in 1996, the band garnered mainstream exposure with the support of nu metal pioneers Jonathan Davis and Fred Durst who aided Deadsy on their 2002 album Commencement. Throughout the 2000s, Deadsy toured across the United States, most notably performing on the Family Values Tour. The band released a second major label album, Phantasmagore, in 2006, before taking an indefinite hiatus in 2007. As of 2017, the band is working on a new record and have posted several demos on YouTube and Instagram.

Stone Sour is an American rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1992. The band performed for five years before disbanding in 1997. They reunited in 2000 and since 2015, the group has consisted of Corey Taylor, Josh Rand (guitar), Christian Martucci (guitar), Johny Chow (bass) and Roy Mayorga (drums). It was recorded and produced by the band and Tom Tatman at Catamount Studios in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and was released on August 27, 2002, through Roadrunner Records. Writing for the album began in 2000 while vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root were still actively involved in their other band, Slipknot. Work began on the album after Slipknot had gone on hiatus following touring in support of their second album Iowa.

Emily Marie Nemmers is an American music artist, who performs and records under the name Emily West. Signed to Capitol Records Nashville, she debuted on Billboard's Hot Country Songs charts in early 2008 with the single "Rocks in Your Shoes". This song peaked at No. 39 early in the year, and is the first single from a self-titled EP. She entered the country charts a second time with "Blue Sky", a duet with Keith Urban, in 2010.

The American rock band Stone Sour has released six studio albums, one live album and eighteen singles. The band has also released sixteen music videos. Stone Sour formed in Des Moines, Iowa in 1992 but did not release an album until 2002. The band comprises vocalist Corey Taylor, guitarists Christian Martucci and Josh Rand, drummer Roy Mayorga, and bassist Johny Chow. Longtime members Joel Ekman, Shawn Economaki and Jim Root left the band in 2006, 2011 and 2014, respectively. Martucci and Chow were first featured with the band on the Burbank Duology. The Junk Beer Kidnap Band is an American rock band from Des Moines, Iowa, formed in 2009. They are a side-project of Corey Taylor, frontman of the heavy metal band Slipknot and rock band Stone Sour. Since their formation, JBKB have currently solely been a touring band for lead singer and guitarist Taylor's solo work. No official studio album has been announced.

<i>Audio Secrecy</i> 2010 studio album by Stone Sour

Audio Secrecy is the third studio album by American rock band Stone Sour. It was recorded and produced by the band and Nick Raskulinecz at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. On June 10, the band released a free download of "Mission Statement", which was later released as a single on iTunes. The first official single, "Say You'll Haunt Me", however, was released on July 6, 2010. Audio Secrecy is also the first album by the band to not feature a 'Parental Advisory' sticker and is dedicated to Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, who had died earlier in 2010. It is also the band's last album to feature bassist Shawn Economaki.

Say Youll Haunt Me Stone Sour song

"Say You'll Haunt Me" is the second single from rock band Stone Sour's third album Audio Secrecy which was released on September 7, 2010 via Roadrunner Records. The song was released to the public on July 6, 2010. The song has received radio airplay on multiple major rock and metal stations nationally in the US. The digital single was released through Amazon and iTunes on July 20, 2010.

"Hesitate" is the third single from Stone Sour's third album Audio Secrecy. The one-track promo single for the song, released strictly to radio in 2010. The CD comes in a thin paper sleeve with no artwork.

Personality Crisis (song) song

"Personality Crisis" is the lead track from the New York Dolls' self-titled debut album. It was written by Dolls lead singer David Johansen and guitarist Johnny Thunders. An early demo version of it appears on the 1981 collection Lipstick Killers – The Mercer Street Sessions 1972.
