Technozoids, also referred to as simply Zoids, is a Japanese science fiction media franchise created by Tomy that feature giant robots called Technozoidaryans, otherwise known as Technozoids, Zoidaryans or Zoids for short. A Zoid is essentially a large mechanical animal, with designs being based on animals; including dinosaurs, insects, arachnids and mythological creatures.

<i>Zoids: Chaotic Century</i> Television series

Zoids: Chaotic Century, simply titled Zoids in Japan, is the first of five anime series based on the Zoids range of mecha model kits produced by TOMY. It is loosely adapted from the manga series Kiiju Shinseiki Zoido, which was created by Michiro Ueyama and published in CoroCoro Comic. The series was animated by Xebec, and aired from September 4, 1999, to December 23, 2000, on TBS and Network. Zoids: Fuzors is an anime series, linked to the Zoids toy line of the same name. It is the third Zoids series, following Zoids: New Century Zero in order of production. <i>Zoids: Genesis</i> Japanese anime television series

Zoids Genesis is the fourth anime installment of the Zoids franchise. It tells the story of Ruuji Familon, a young boy who finds a Liger-type Zoid during a salvage mission. Initially, the village is attacked by Bio-Raptor Bio-Zoids, and later a Bio-Megaraptor. After the village generator is destroyed in combat, Ruuji takes the Murasame Liger Zoid and leaves the village alongside Ra-Kan and Rei Mii to find a generator mechanic or the village will be destroyed. Through his journey Ruuji learns he must fight against Digald. It aired on TV Tokyo from April 2005 to March 2006.

It is the second Zoids series created, based on the range of mecha models produced by TOMY. The series was originally released in Western nations under the title Zoids, before being later rebranded as Zoids: New Century by Viz Media. It was the first Zoids series to be dubbed in English. In August 2014, a Blu-ray box set of the series was released in Japan. It optionally came with a limited-edition Liger Zero.

Matthew Erickson is a Canadian voice actor who works for Ocean Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and the Calgary, Alberta-based Blue Water Studios. He was born and raised in rural Alberta. He has played several roles in anime, most notably Zoids: Chaotic Century, Zoids: Guardian Force, Shinn Asuka in Gundam Seed Destiny and Amuro Ray in Zeta Gundam.

The comics anthology included reprints of Spider-Man stories and an original series of Zoids tales. Spider-Man and Zoids is notable for featuring early work by Grant Morrison, including the epic and apocalyptic Black Zoid storyline.

Streamed from 7 July 2018 to 29 June 2019, this was the final series produced by Allspark Animation before being absorbed into Entertainment One on 9 October 2020.

Van is a young boy living in a small village on the Planet Zi. Inspired by the sacrifice of his father to protect their village, Van dreams of one day becoming a great Zoid pilot. One day he is attacked by desert bandits, and is forced to take refuge in some ruins. While hiding he discovers an 'organoid' who he names Zeke, who has the power to revive and merge with another Zoid. Using Zeke's power he restores a Shield Liger and uses it to defeat the bandits, then returns to the ruins to find a young girl with amnesia inside a pod.

With his new Zoids and mystery companion in tow, Van sets out to discover the girl's identity and become a great Zoid pilot like his father before him.

Returning to his village, Van introduces Zeke and the girl, Fiona, to his sister Maria and the rest of the town, explaining how they both emerged from pods, and how Fiona had lost her memory. Bandits attack while Van is out giving Fiona a tour of the area in the Liger, taking Maria hostage in exchange for Zeke. Briefly tied up while the villagers take Zeke the bandits, Van gets free with Fiona's help, and rushes off to save his sister. Before Zeke can merge with the Shield Liger however, the Liger gets damaged and Zeke is knocked unconscious. Zeke is apparently awakened through some mysterious ability of Fiona's before the Liger can be destroyed. After the battle, the townsfolk accept Van's choice to leave his town in his new role as a Zoid pilot, following in his father's footsteps as he chases after Fiona's memories.
