This is a list of airports in Shanghai, China, including defunct airports and military air bases. As of January 2013, there were two commercial airports, three military and government airports and some rooftop helipads.

Daporijo Airport is located at Daporijo in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. Daporijo used to have scheduled services in the 1980s and early 1990s from Vayudoot. The airport had flights to Guwahati and Dibrugarh on Dornier 228 aircraft. Currently, there is no scheduled commercial air service to the airport, although the airport is used by the Indian Army. Taizhou Luqiao Airport, formerly Huangyan Luqiao Airport, is a dual-use military and civil airport serving the city of Taizhou in Zhejiang Province, China. It is located in Luqiao District, 20 kilometers from the city center. In 2010 the airport handled 616,861 passengers and 5,483 tons of cargo.

Jinzhou Xiaolingzi Airport is a military airport in the city of Jinzhou in Liaoning province, Northeast China. It was converted to a civil/military dual-use airport in 1993. On 10 December 2015, the new Jinzhou Bay Airport was opened and all civil flights were transferred to the new airport. Xiaolingzi Airport reverted to its original use as a military airport.

Liuzhou Bailian Airport is a dual-use military and civil airport serving the city of Liuzhou in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

Qinhuangdao Shanhaiguan Airport

Qinhuangdao Shanhaiguan Airport is a military airport in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, China. It is located in Shanhaiguan District, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the city center. From 1985 to 2016 Shanhaiguan Airport also served as the civilian airport for Qinhuangdao. On 31 March 2016, the newly built Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport started operation and all civil flights were transferred to the new airport.

Shantou Waisha Airport Military air base in Shantou, China

Shantou Waisha Airport is a military air base in the city of Shantou in Guangdong province, China. It was formerly the main public airport serving the Shantou until Jieyang Chaoshan Airport was opened on December 15, 2011 and all civilian flights were transferred to the new airport.

Yantai Laishan Airport is a military airport in Yantai in Shandong, China. It formerly also served as the civil airport of Yantai, until it was replaced by Yantai Penglai International Airport which was opened on 28 May 2015. It is about 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) from the city center and covers an area over 45.79 acres (185,300 m2).

Yibin Caiba Airport is a military and former public airport in the city of Yibin in southern Sichuan province of China. Located in the town of Caiba in Cuiping District, the airport was opened on 16 December 1992.

Anqing Tianzhushan Airport

Anqing Tianzhushan Airport is a dual-use military and civil airport serving the city of Anqing in Anhui Province, China. It is located 6.3 kilometers (3.9 mi) north of the city. In 1991 the national government approved the conversion of the military Anqing Air Base to a dual-use airport. With an investment of 28 million yuan, the airport was opened to civil flights in December 1993. In 2005 HNA Group took over the management of the airport and renamed it Anqing Tianzhushan Airport, after the nearby tourist destination Tianzhushan.

Hami Airport

Hami Airport or Kumul Airport is an airport serving the city of Hami (Kumul) in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. It is located 12.5 kilometres (7.8 mi) northeast of the city center. First built in 1934 and later used as a military airport, the airport was expanded in 2008 and is now for mixed military and public use.

Shigatse Peace Airport Airport

Shigatse Peace Airport, Shigatse Heping Airport, or Shigatse Air Base, is a dual-use military and civilian airport serving Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It is located in Jangdam Township, 43 kilometres (27 mi) from Shigatse. Situated at an elevation of 3,782 metres (12,408 ft), it is one of the highest airports in the world.

Baise Bama Airport

Baise (Bose) Bama Airport, formerly Baise (Bose) Youjiang Airport, is a dual-use military and civilian airport serving Baise in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. The airport is located in Tianyang County, 48 kilometres (30 mi) from the city center. It was first built in 1965 as the military Tianyang Airport. Expansion of the airport was started in 2005 with an investment of 57 million yuan, and it was reopened as Baise Youjiang Airport in December 2006. On 8 September 2013 it was renamed to Bama Airport.

Huizhou Pingtan Airport

Huizhou Pingtan Airport is a dual-use military and civil airport serving the city of Huizhou in Guangdong Province, China. It is located in the town of Pingtan in Huiyang District, 20 kilometers from the city center. The military airport served commercial flights between 1985 and 2002, but stopped when the military was forbidden to operate commercial businesses.

Tonghua Sanyuanpu Airport, also known as Tonghua Liuhe Airport, is a dual-use military and civilian airport serving the city of Tonghua in Jilin Province, China. It is located in the town of Sanyuanpu in Liuhe County, 50 kilometers from the city center. Originally a military airport, construction to convert it for civilian use started in October 2009 with a total investment of 370 million yuan. The airport was opened on 18 June 2014, becoming the fifth civilian airport in Jilin.

Jiaxing Airport, or Jiaxing Air Base, is a military air base in the city of Jiaxing in Zhejiang province, China. It is being converted to a dual-use military and civilian airport. The airport is located 8 kilometers from the city center in Xiuzhou District. Due to Jiaxing Airport's proximity to both Shanghai and Hangzhou, it is touted as "Shanghai's third airport" and "Hangzhou's second airport". The airport is designed to handle 500,000 passengers annually.

Honghe Mengzi Airport is a dual-use military and civil airport being built in Mengzi City, capital of the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in China's southwestern Yunnan province near the Vietnamese border. The airport is located in Daguoxi Village (大郭西村), Yuguopu Subdistrict (雨过铺).

Suzhou Guangfu Airport, also known as Suzhou West Airfield, is a military air base of the People's Liberation Army Air Force in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, China. In the 1990s it briefly served civil flights for Suzhou, but is now exclusively used by the military. Suzhou is now mainly served by Sunan Shuofang International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, and Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

Chinyalisaur Airport, also known as Maa Ganga Airport and Dharasu Airport or Bharkot Airport, is located in Chinyalisaur of Uttarkashi district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The airport is situated 35 kilometres away from Uttarkashi and 85 kilometers from New Tehri on the banks of the Bhagirathi River.
