MercyMe is an American contemporary Christian music band based in Greenville, Texas. [1] The band formed in 1994 [2] and released six independent records from 1995-2000 before signing with INO Records and releasing their major-label debut, Almost There , in 2001. [3] They have since released six other studio albums as well as a holiday album.

MercyMe has been awarded the American Music Award for Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist twice, in 2004 and 2010. At the 35th GMA Dove Awards, the band received the awards for Artist of the Year and Group of the Year, while their song "Word of God Speak" received the award for Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year; they also received that award in 2001 with their song "I Can Only Imagine". Their album "Undone" received the award for Dove Award for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year in 2005. Coming Up to Breathe was nominated for the Dove Award for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year as well as the Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.

The Grammy Awards are awarded annually by The Recording Academy and honor "artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position". [12] MercyMe has been nominated for one award. [13]

Coming Up to Breathe is the fourth studio album by Christian rock band MercyMe. Released on April 25, 2006, by INO Records, the album was intended by MercyMe to be edgier than their previous albums. Coming Up to Breathe sold 58,000 copies its first week, MercyMe's biggest sales week at the time. It debuted and peaked at number one on the Billboard Christian Albums chart, number five on the Rock Albums chart, and number thirteen on the Billboard 200. It also appeared on the Alternative Albums chart in 2007, peaking at number thirteen. Coming Up to Breathe was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2007, signifying shipments of over 500,000 copies.

"Lose My Soul" is a song by TobyMac from his third studio album, Portable Sounds (2007). It features gospel artist Kirk Franklin and contemporary Christian singer Mandisa and was released in 2008 as the fifth single from the album. The song was written by McKeehan, Christopher Stevens, and Michael Ripoll. "Lose My Soul" didn't become a hit until a year after its release, peaking at No. 2 on both the US Hot Christian Songs chart and the US Hot Christian AC chart. She is also a senior worship pastor at Bethel Church in Redding, California, and a Senior Overseer of WorshipU, an online school of worship sponsored by Bethel.

We the Kingdom is an American contemporary Christian music band signed to the Capitol Christian Music Group. The band consists of multiple generations of relatives: Andrew Bergthold, Ed Cash, Martin Cash, and Scott Cash. The band's name comes after the idea that "the kingdom of God is here among us".
