The Ancient and Auspicious Order of the Nine Gems was established in 1851 by King Mongkut of the Kingdom of Siam. The order is bestowed upon the members of the Thai royal family and distinguished high-ranking officials who have given service to the kingdom and who are active Buddhist laypeople. In practice, it is the highest Thai order granted to Thai citizens, as the two higher orders are reserved for royalty or foreign heads of state. Prince Chaturonrasmi, the Prince Chakkrabatradipongse was a Prince of Siam. He was a member of Siamese royal family, a son of King Mongkut and Queen Debsirindra and was a younger brother of King Chulalongkorn. He was Minister of Finance from 1886 to 1892.
Saphan Mon is a historic bridge in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon District. It carries Charoen Krung Road across the old city moat, and was originally built in the reign of King Nangklao, presumably by members of the Mon community who lived nearby. In those days, Mon traders used to settle their boathouses in the area of the bridge. During the reign of King Vajiravudh, the original wooden structure was replaced with a reinforced concrete bridge with iron railings demonstrating Art Nouveau influence. The bridge is registered as an ancient monument by the Fine Arts Department.

The Neilson Hays Library is a privately funded English-language library in Bangkok, Thailand. It occupies a historic building on Surawong Road in Bangkok's Bang Rak District, designed in neoclassical style by Italian architects Mario Tamagno and Giovanni Ferrero. The library traces its origins to the Bangkok Ladies' Library Association, which was established in 1869, but did not have a permanent location until the current building was commissioned in 1921 by resident American doctor T. Heyward Hays in memory of his late wife, Jennie Neilson Hays, who had been an active member of the library board. The building, completed in 1922, features a symmetrical plan, with a domed rotunda originally serving as the entrance hall, and an H-shaped reading room. The building received the ASA Architectural Conservation Award in 1982, and was registered as an ancient monument in 2001. It underwent major restoration work from 2016 to 2018.

Bodindechanuchit is a Thai noble title granted to leaders of the military. In the Ayutthaya period, it was granted to some samuhanayok, one of the king's two chief chancellors under the chatusadom system. In the Rattanakosin period, it was granted to two ministers of defence under the new government system introduced by King Chulalongkorn in the 1880s.
The known history of the Lanna-related dynasties and rulers begins with the founding of the Ngoenyang Kingdom, inaugurated by Lawachangkarat in 638. This was succeeded by the Lanna Kingdom and then as a tributary state of Siam in 1775 until it was annexed to Thailand in 1909, and the title of the ruler of Lanna Chiang Mai was dissolved in 1939.
The National Day is a public holiday in Thailand. Presently, it is observed on 5 December, the birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Historically, the National Day was observed on 6 April, which corresponded to the Chakri Day, the day commemorating the Chakri dynasty, and on 24 June, which corresponded to the day of the Siamese revolution, before it was replaced in 1960 by the National Celebrations Day, observed on 5 December, and was revived in 2017, also observed on 5 December.
The Secretariat of the Cabinet is a department-level Thai government agency under the Office of the Prime Minister. It serves as the operating body of the Cabinet, handling all its regular functions and supporting its decision-making, as well as coordinating with the legislative, the royal household, and the machinery of government on all relevant matters. It is also responsible for the publication of laws and important notices through the Royal Thai Government Gazette, as well as such ceremonial matters as the use of royal seals and the granting of royal decorations.
