<span class="mw-page-title-main">2005 Scott Tournament of Hearts</span> Canadian womens curling championship

The 2005 Scott Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's curling championship, was held at Mile One Stadium in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador from February 19 to 27, 2005. The tournament included 12 teams, one from each of Canada's provinces, one from Canada's territories and the defending champion Colleen Jones, whose team was known as Team Canada. Oddly, Jones' team is the only returning team from the 2004 Scott Tournament of Hearts as all other provincial champions lost in their playdowns. Colleen Jones, who had won the last four tournaments is joined by Cathy King who won the tournament in 1998. Also participating is 2002 Manitoba champion Jennifer Jones, 2001 Yukon/Northwest Territories champion Kerry Koe, 4-time Newfoundland champion Heather Strong, 2000 Nova Scotia champion Kay Zinck, 3-time Prince Edward Island champion skip Rebecca Jean MacPhee, 1996 Quebec champion second Brenda Nicholls, 1993 New Brunswick champion second Sandy Comeau as well as newcomers Kelly Scott of British Columbia, Jenn Hanna of Ontario and Stefanie Lawton of Saskatchewan.

Montague is a community within the Town of Three Rivers in Kings County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Previously incorporated as a town, it amalgamated with the Town of Georgetown, the rural municipalities of Brudenell, Cardigan, Lorne Valley, Lower Montague, and Valleyfield, and portions of three adjacent unincorporated areas in 2018.

Route 1 is a 120-kilometre (75 mi) long provincial highway that serves as the Prince Edward Island section of the Trans-Canada Highway. Route 1 traverses the southern shores of Prince Edward Island, from the Confederation Bridge in Borden-Carleton to the Wood Islands ferry dock, and bypasses the provincial capital, Charlottetown. It is an uncontrolled access 2-lane highway with a maximum speed limit of 90 km/h (55 mph), except within towns and urban areas.

The 2008 Tim Hortons Brier, Canada's men's curling championship, was held from March 8 to 16 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Skipped by Kevin Martin, Alberta defeated the defending champion, and reigning World Champion Glenn Howard and Team Ontario. The final pitted arguably the top 2 teams in the world, at least the top 2 teams in the World Curling Tour. The final, while close, failed to live up to expectations, and was widely considered boring, and was full of mistakes due to ice problems. Martin had a draw to the button in the tenth end to win the game.

Richard Reginald Bell was a lawyer, judge and political figure on Prince Edward Island. He represented 2nd Queens in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1944 to 1960 as a Progressive Conservative.

The 2009 Canada Summer Games were held in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island from August 15 to 29.

Kingston is a rural municipality in Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is located within Queens County to the west of Charlottetown. The community is mainly farms with a small residential area.

The 2010 Dominion Curling Club Championship was held November 23–28 at the Charlottetown and Cornwall Curling Clubs in Charlottetown and Cornwall, Prince Edward Island.

The 2005 Prince Edward Island Scott Tournament of Hearts was held Jan. 21–26 in at the Crapaud Community Curling Club in Crapaud, Prince Edward Island. The winning team was Team Rebecca Jean MacPhee who represented Prince Edward Island, finished with a 4-7 round-robin record at the 2005 Scott Tournament of Hearts in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

The 2007 PEI Labatt Tankard, the men's curling provincial championships for Prince Edward Island, was held during late January and early February. The open playdowns were held at the Crapaud Community Curling Club from January 26–29, while the final eight playdowns were held at the Cornwall Curling Club from February 6–11. The winner of the Tankard was Peter Gallant, who won his first Tankard as a skip. He and his rink represented PEI at the 2007 Tim Hortons Brier in Hamilton, Ontario, where they finished tied for eighth place at 4–7.

The 2007 Labatt Tankard Open Playdowns were held at the Crapaud Community Curling Club in Crapaud, Prince Edward Island from January 26–29. The top eight teams from the playdowns qualified for the final tournament.

The 2013 PEI Tankard, the Prince Edward Island men's curling championship, was held from February 6 to 12 at the Crapaud Community Curling Club in Crapaud, Prince Edward Island. The winner of the Tankard, Team Eddie MacKenzie represented Prince Edward Island at the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier in Edmonton, Alberta.

The 2014 PEI Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship for Prince Edward Island, was held from February 5 to 9 at the Montague Curling Rink in Montague, Prince Edward Island. The winning Eddie MacKenzie rink from Charlottetown represented Prince Edward Island at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops.

Curl PEI, formerly known as Prince Edward Island Curling Association, is the regional governing body for the sport of curling in Prince Edward Island. As one of 14 regional associations within Curling Canada, the organization runs the provincial championships that determine who represents the province in the national championships.

The 2021 PEI Tankard, the men's provincial curling championship for Prince Edward Island, was held from January 29 to 30 at the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O'Leary, Prince Edward Island. The winning Eddie MacKenzie rink represented Prince Edward Island at the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary, Alberta where they finished with a 1–7 record. The event was held in conjunction with the 2021 Prince Edward Island Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's championship.

The 2008 PEI Labatt Tankard was held at the Crapaud Community Curling Club in Crapaud, Prince Edward Island, February 5–10, 2008. The winning team represented Prince Edward Island at the 2008 Tim Hortons Brier. An open qualifier was held for the event in Montague, Prince Edward Island with the top 8 teams winning a berth to play in the main event.
