This is a list of deans of Grahamstown. The dean is the incumbent of Grahamstown Cathedral, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. In addition, the dean has other duties and roles set out in the "Deed of Constitution and Statutes of the Chapter of the Cathedral of St Michael and St George, Grahamstown" which is an appendix to the acts of the Diocese of Grahamstown. The 20th and current dean is Andrew John Hunter, who was appointed in 2008. [1]

The Cathedral of St Michael and St George is the home of the Anglican Diocese of Grahamstown in Makhanda in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is the episcopal seat of the Bishop of Grahamstown. The cathedral is located on Church Square and has the tallest spire in South Africa 176 feet (54 m). The cathedral is dedicated to St Michael and St George and celebrates its patronal festival on the Sunday closest to Michaelmas.

The diocese includes the areas of Cala, Cofimvaba, Dutywa, Elliot, Kentani and Tsomo. The first and current bishop is Sebenzile Elliot Williams.

Canon Dr. John Derek Stubbs was the Dean of Studies of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa from 1991 until 1999, and thereafter he was the Dean and Archdeacon of Grahamstown, from 1999 until 2006. Prior to that, Stubbs worked as a priest at the Church of the Heavenly Rest, in New York City, U.S.A.. He is now retired.
