Madhya Pradesh is a state in central India. Its capital is Bhopal, and the largest city is Indore, with Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Dewas, Sagar, Satna, and Rewa being the other major cities. Madhya Pradesh is the second largest Indian state by area and the fifth largest state by population with over 72 million residents. It borders the states of Uttar Pradesh to the northeast, Chhattisgarh to the east, Maharashtra to the south, Gujarat to the west, and Rajasthan to the northwest.
The Central India Agency was created in 1854, by amalgamating the Western Malwa Agency with other smaller political offices which formerly reported to the Governor-General of India. The agency was overseen by a political agent who maintained relations of the Government of India with the princely states and influence over them on behalf of the Governor-General. The headquarters of the agent were at Indore.

Rail transport in Madhya Pradesh began in the year 1867 when Allahabad–Jabalpur branch line was opened in June 1867. The Etarsi to Jabalpur section was opened on 7 March 1870 by GIPR, linking up with EIR track at Jabalpur from Allahabad, and establishing connectivity between Mumbai and Kolkata. In 1903, with the introduction of Delhi-Chennai rail route through the state and Bhopal Junction railway station, the state got a good rail connectivity. Presently major portion of the state's rail connectivity is provided by the railway zone called West Central Railway.
Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary situated on the northern boundary of Mandsaur and Nimach districts in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is spread over an area of 368.62 km2 (142.32 sq mi) adjoining Rajasthan state in India. It was notified in 1974 and more area was added in 1983. The Chambal River passes through the sanctuary dividing it into two parts. The western part is in Nimach district and eastern part is in Mandsaur district. It is in the Khathiar-Gir dry deciduous forests ecoregion.

Madhya Pradesh High Court Bench at Indore is a permanent bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court in Indore. Hon’ble the Chief Justice, vide order dated 1 November 1956 constituted temporary benches of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Indore and Gwalior. Later, by a Presidential Notification Dated 28 November 1968, issued in the exercise of the powers conferred by the Subsection (2) of section 51 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956, permanent benches of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Indore and Gwalior were established.
Sanjay Jagdale MPCA Academy is located in Holkar Stadium, Indore. The academy was named after Sanjay Jagdale. Academy was established in 2008 is a cricket facility of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association for training young cricketers who are identified as having the potential to represent the Madhya Pradesh cricket team. The academy provides regular cricket coaching, specific nutrition, health check up, fitness management, and purposeful recreation along with the education to the potentially talented young cricketers. The academy has sub-academies in Gwalior, Sagar, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Rewa and Jabalpur.
