Essex County is a primarily rural county in Southwestern Ontario, Canada comprising seven municipalities: Amherstburg, Kingsville, Lakeshore, LaSalle, Leamington, Tecumseh and the administrative seat, Essex. Canada's southernmost county, Essex had a population of 181,530 as of the 2016 census.
Leamington is a municipality in Essex County, Ontario, Canada. With a population of 27,595 in the Canada 2016 Census, it forms the second largest urban centre in Windsor-Essex County after Windsor, Ontario. It includes Point Pelee National Park, the southernmost point of mainland Canada.
Tecumseh is a town in Essex County in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is on Lake St. Clair east of Windsor and had a population of 23,229 at the 2016 census. It is part of the Windsor census metropolitan area, and is a part of the Windsor-Essex County region along with Amherstburg, Kingsville, Lakeshore, LaSalle and Leamington. Tecumseh was originally a Franco-Ontarian settlement.

École secondaire publique Mille-Îles is a high school in Kingston, Ontario. It was founded in 1994 and was initially started as a French program within Kingston Collegiate and Vocational Institute (KCVI) in 1977. In 1980, it became a separate module serving students in grades 9 to OAC. The establishment of a distinct francophone public high school was first suggested in 1987, and the project came to fruition in 1994, which led to the inauguration of Mille-Îles as a distinct entity in 1995, still within the KCVI building. The school moved to its present location, the former location of Calvin Park Public School, in 1999, when it also expanded to welcome students in grades 7 and 8.

West Toronto Collegiate Institute(WTCI, West Toronto) is a former public high school in the Brockton Village neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from 1972-2010. It is located at 330 Lansdowne Avenue, just north of College Street. It was owned and operated by the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and previously by the Toronto Board of Education. The TDSB transferred ownership of West Toronto Collegiate Institute to Conseil scolaire Viamonde (CSV) and the Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud (CSDCCS) in October 2011.

In 2018 LDSS became an IB World School authorized to offer the Diploma Programme. LDSS feeder schools are located throughout Leamington and neighbouring town Wheatley, Ontario.
