Quebec City, officially Québec, is the capital city of the Canadian province of Quebec. The city had a population estimate of 531,902 in July 2016, and the metropolitan area had a population of 800,296 in July 2016, making it the second largest city in Quebec after Montreal, and the seventh largest metropolitan area and eleventh largest city in the country.
Louis-Joseph Papineau, born in Montreal, Quebec, was a politician, lawyer, and the landlord of the seigneurie de la Petite-Nation. He was the leader of the reformist Patriote movement before the Lower Canada Rebellion of 1837–1838. His father was Joseph Papineau, also a politician in Quebec. Papineau was the eldest of eight children and was the grandfather of the journalist Henri Bourassa, founder of the newspaper Le Devoir. The Papineau metro station was named after him.

The Société de télédiffusion du Québec, branded as Télé-Québec, is a Canadian French language public educational television network in the province of Quebec. It is a provincial Crown corporation owned by the Government of Quebec. The network's main studios and general offices are located in Montreal, at the corner of Saint Catherine and Fullum Streets in Downtown Montreal.
Old Quebec is a historic neighborhood of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Comprising the Upper Town and Lower Town, the area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Administratively, Old Quebec is part of the Vieux-Québec–Cap-Blanc–colline Parlementaire district in the borough of La Cité-Limoilou.

The Capitole de Québec is a Beaux Arts-style theatre in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It is located in Old Quebec on Place d'Youville. It was listed on the Répertoire du patrimoine culturel du Québec in 1984, and became a National Historic Site of Canada in 1986.
The Sillery Heritage Site, formerly known as the Sillery Historic District, is a territory containing historic residential and institutional properties, as well as woodlands, located in the Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge borough of Quebec City, Canada. It is one of four heritage sites which are located in the City of Quebec. Having been called the "cradle of the Quebec nation," it includes approximately 350 buildings situated on a linear 3.5 kilometres wide landscape, which is alongside, as well as an integral part of the coast of the Saint Lawrence River. The built environment was constructed in all of the time periods, including and following the foundation of New France.
