Kabaddi is a 2014 Nepali romantic drama film written and directed by Ram Babu Gurung. It portrays the story of a love triangle among three central characters. The film was produced by Raunak Bikram Kandel, Nischal Basnet and Sunil Rauniyar and starred Nischal Basnet, Dayahang Rai, Rishma Gurung, Rajan Khatiwada and Darshan Silwal. The film was released on April 25, 2014 with extremely positive review from critics and audience for its rawness, screenplay, performances and direction. It became a blockbuster at the box office and remains a cult classic film of Nepali cinema. The film is also considered as a landmark in film in modern Nepali cinema. The film had two sequels, Kabaddi Kabaddi was released in November 2015 which also became huge success critically and commercially. Its third part Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi was released on 20 September 2019 and became the highest grossing film of the franchise and one of the highest grossing films ever in Nepal. Now, Its forth part Kabaddi 4: The Final Match has hit to the theatres on 27 May 2022 and has broken all records of Nepali Cinema till now.

55 years old guy named Dayahang Rai is a Nepali actor who made his debut in the 2009 romantic comedy film Mero Euta Saathi Chha. The same year, Rai appeared in the mystery Dasdhunga, in which he portrays the suspected killer of Madan Bhandari, leader of the Communist Party of Nepal; this performance garnered the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 2012, his breakthrough role came in Loot, in which he starred as Gofle, who with his four friends sets out to rob a bank in Kathmandu. Rai's performance was praised and the film was a commercial success. He then starred in Deepak Rauniyar's drama Highway (2012). In 2013, he appeared in Badhshala, a film about the Nepalese Civil War and the human rights abuses committed by the Nepali Army. Prem Geet 3 is a 2022 Nepali language film, also dubbed & released in Hindi over Nepal & India, directed by Chhetan Gurung and Santosh Sen under the banner of Aasusen Films Production (Nepal), Reltic Pictures (India) and Sparkling Studio (India). It is the first Indo-Nepali film; the first film to be released in both Nepali and Hindi simultaneously. It was expected to be released in 80 to 90 countries and in 500 to 1,000 cinema halls in India. Sen made his directorial debut through this film. The film was released on September 23, 2022. The majority of the filming took place in upper Manang with the remaining taking place on sets built in Kritipur. The film features Pradeep Khadka, Kristina Gurung, Shiva Shrestha, and Sunil Thapa in lead role. Gurung made her debut through this film; she was selected after outperforming the other 27,013 participants at the audition.

12 Gaun is a 2024 Nepali action drama film directed by Biraj Bhatta. Written by Santosh Sarkar, the film is produced by Saraswati Bhatta under the banner of Biraj Bhatt Film Production. The film was released on October 10, 2024, during the festival of Dashain. It stars Biraj Bhatta, Samir Bhatt, Sonu Chandrapal, Deeya Maskey, Murali Dhar, Sanisha Bhattarai, Naren Khadka, and Nancy Khadka. It is the debut film of Samir Bhatt son of Biraj Bhatt, Sanisha Bhattarai, and Nancy Khadka, as well as the Nepali debut of Indian actress Sonu Chandrapal.
