She was the wife of Ronald Allan Kelley Poe, better known as Fernando Poe Jr. Roces was regarded as the "Queen of Philippine Movies" and starred in more than 130 films and television programs. She won five FAMAS Awards, including two Best Actress wins. Luna Awards honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her long-standing career and contribution to Philippine cinema. In 2005, Roces was one of the first inductees on Eastwood City Walk of Fame. She played the character "Lola Flora" on the ABS-CBN television series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano since the pilot episode in 2015. Months prior to her death in 2022, Roces was honored by The Philippine Post Office with a commemorative stamp.

Teddy Benavídez is a Filipino actor who made his film debut on 1936's Mga Kaluluwang Napaligaw aka Unguided Spirit. His first screen name is Teodoro Benavidez and changed it to Teddy when he first made his movie under Sampaguita Pictures in 1937's Bituing Marikit starring Elsa Oria & Rogelio dela Rosa.

The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards, or simply the FAMAS Awards, are the annual honors given by the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS), an organization composed of writers and movie columnists, for achievements in Philippine cinema for a calendar year. Members of the academy including avid movie viewers, fans or enthusiasts cast their votes on who should win the statuettes in the different categories they were nominated. Established in 1952, it is the oldest existing film industry award-giving body in the Philippines and one of the oldest in Asia. The FAMAS Award, from 1952 to 1982, was the highest Filipino film award a filmmaker or artisan could receive in the local movie industry.

Dubbed as the Greta Garbo of the Philippines, she is often cited as one of the greatest screen figures in the country. She first appeared in the film Flores de Mayo (1940) and rose to fame in the self-titled film opposite Fernando Poe Sr. She has since appeared in over 90 motion pictures including several foreign films such as Elephant Girl (1951) and Surrender - Hell! (1959). She has received two FAMAS Awards and has been inducted at the Eastwood City Walk of Fame.

Based on a Philippine comic book by Mars Ravelo and the 1952 Philippine film of the same title, the series is the twentieth instalment of Sine Novela. Directed by Joel Lamangan, it stars Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann. It premiered on May 24, 2010 on the network's Dramarama sa Hapon line up replacing Ina, Kasusuklaman Ba Kita?. The series concluded on September 24, 2010 with a total of 90 episodes.

Makapiling Kang Muli is a 2012 Philippine television drama romance series broadcast by GMA Network. Directed by Ricky Davao, it stars Richard Gutierrez and Carla Abellana. It premiered on June 4, 2012 on the network's Telebabad line up replacing Legacy. The series concluded on September 7, 2012 with a total of 70 episodes. It was replaced by Aso ni San Roque in its timeslot.
