"Roc" is a song recorded by the French-born singer Nâdiya, which appears on her self-titled third album Nâdiya. The single was released as the second single from the album on June 19 in Switzerland and France, 2006, two weeks after the release of the album. The single became her best-performing single in the French Singles Chart, staying in the top five for eleven weeks and eighteen weeks in the top thirty. It contains a sample taken from War composed by Survivor for the soundtrack of Rocky IV in 1985.
"Santiano" is a 1961 song, inspired by the sea shanty "Santianna", which uses the same tune. The song tells of a ship from Saint Malo bound to San Francisco, which is described as a place of great wealth. The French-language version was popularized first in the 1960s by Hugues Aufray.
"Garçon" is the debut single by French singer Koxie, from her eponymous debut album, on which it features as the third track. It topped the charts of France and Belgium for two months.
Avant que l'ombre... à Bercy is the fourth live album by Mylène Farmer, released on 4 December 2006.
"4 Mots sur un piano" is a 2007 song recorded by French singers Patrick Fiori, Jean-Jacques Goldman, who also had written the lyrics, and Christine Ricol. It was released as the second single - after "Toutes les peines" - from Fiori's album Si on chantait plus fort on July 20, 2007. The single was very successful, particularly in France where it topped the chart.
"Baila " is a song by Italian singer Zucchero. The song was first released as the lead single of his ninth studio album Shake, where it reached #1 in Italy and Spain, but achieved moderate success in the other countries. Zucchero also recorded an English language version for the single release. The song was later re-recorded in Spanish with the Mexican rock band Maná for the compilation album Zu & Co, but only reached chart success in 2006 due to its inclusion in the soundtrack of the film French Fried Vacation 3.
"De temps en temps" is a 2007 song recorded by the French singer Grégory Lemarchal. It was released as the first single from his posthumous album, La Voix d'un ange, on 11 June 2007. The song was very successful in France and Belgium (Wallonia), topping the singles charts.
Olympia 06 is the name of the only live album recorded by the French singer Grégory Lemarchal. It was recorded during the only series of concerts given by the artist at the Olympia of Paris in 2006 in order to support his debut album Je deviens moi, and was released on October 23, 2006. It contains a cover version of Lucie Silvas' song "What You're Made of", recorded in live version as a duet with her, and another version with Nolwenn Leroy.
Inventaire is the name given to the debut album of the French singer Christophe Willem. It was released on April 16, 2007 and was supported by the two hit singles "Double Je" and "Jacques a dit", which were top five hits in France and Belgium. The album was mainly composed by the French artists Zazie and Philippe Katerine.
"Rayon de soleil" is the name of a 2008 song recorded by the African singer William Baldé. It was his debut single and was released in July 2008 from his album En Corps étranger. It achieved success, becoming a number-one hit in France and Belgium.
"Pas le temps" is the name of a 2006 song recorded by French rapper Faf Larage. It was released as a single in September 2006 and featured as theme for credits of the American action/serial drama television series Prison Break. The B-side is "C'est pas ma faute", a song that was released as a single in October 2007. "Pas le temps" achieved a huge success in France and Belgium (Wallonia), topping the charts for two months, even becoming the best-selling single of 2006 in France and as of August 2014, it was the 45th best-selling single of the 21st century in France, with 413,000 units sold. It remains Larage's first big hit and his signature song.
"Nolwenn Ohwo!" is a 2006 song recorded by French singer Nolwenn Leroy. It was the first single from her second studio album Histoires Naturelles, and was released on 23 January 2006. It achieved success in France, where it topped the singles chart, and Belgium (Wallonia), where it was a top three hit.
"Aux arbres citoyens" is a 2007 song recorded by French singer Yannick Noah. It was his second single from his successful album Charango, on which it features as third track, and his 12th single overall. Released on February 2007, the song became a hit in France, where it was Noah's first number-one hit, and in Belgium (Wallonia).
"Mon Pays" is a 2006 song recorded by French-born artist Faudel. It was the first single from his album Mundial Corrida, produced by Fred Chateau and Volodia. Released on 13 November 2006, the song was a huge hit in France and Belgium (Wallonia).
"Gabriel" is a 2005 song recorded by French artist Najoua Belyzel. It was her debut single from her album Entre deux mondes... en équilibre, on which it is the sixth track, and was released in November 2005. It achieved great success in Belgium (Wallonia) where it topped the chart, and in France. To date, it is Belyzel's most successful single in terms of peak positions and sales and can be deemed as her signature song.
