While mainly regarded as a punk song, "Ça plane pour moi" has also been described as parody punk and as new wave. The song's name is a French idiomatic expression that is best translated as "everything's going well for me".

It was released on 13 September 1999, and achieved huge success in France and Belgium (Wallonia), where it topped the charts and stayed on the charts for respectively two and one years. It provided five top 15 singles in France : "Vivre pour le meilleur", "Un jour viendra", "Sang pour sang", "Partie de cartes" and "Pardon". David Hallyday, Johnny's son, participated in the composition of all the songs of the album, along with Miossec and Zazie.
Luxembourg was represented by French twins Sophie & Magaly, with the song '"Papa Pingouin", at the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 19 April in The Hague. The song was chosen internally by broadcaster RTL, and was written by Ralph Siegel and Bernd Meinunger, who also composed the 1980 German entry "Theater".
