The Pretty Cure series is a Japanese magical girl anime franchise created by Izumi Todo and produced by ABC Television, Asatsu-DK and Toei Animation. Each series revolves around a group of magical girls known as Pretty Cures who battle against evil forces. Starting in February 2004 with Futari wa Pretty Cure, the franchise has seen many anime series, spanning over 850 episodes to date, as well as spawning movies, manga, toys, and video games. Its most recent iteration, Wonderful PreCure!, began airing in February 2024 as part of TV Asahi's Sunday morning children's television block. As of December 2022, three series have received English adaptations.
Junko Takeuchi is a Japanese actress and voice actress employed by Ogipro The Next Co. Inc. & BQMAP. Taking a well-trod path by many voice actresses, she often voices young male characters with generally very quirky and goofy personalities. One of her most well-known roles includes Naruto Uzumaki from the popular anime series Naruto. She has played Takuya Kanbara in Digimon Frontier, Rin Natsuki/Cure Rouge in Yes! PreCure 5, Metabee in Medabots, Mamoru Endou in Inazuma Eleven and Inazuma Eleven GO, Gon Freecss in the 1999 version of Hunter × Hunter, MrBeast in the Japanese dub of MrBeast and GingerBrave in the Japanese dub of Cookie Run: Kingdom.
Izumi Todo, credited with creating series like Ojamajo Doremi and Pretty Cure, is a collective pen name used by Toei Animation television producers when contributing to their various anime series. Pseudonyms used in a similar manner include Hajime Yatate from Sunrise and Saburo Yatsude for Toei Company's anime and tokusatsu television productions. The use of the pen name began with Ojamajo Doremi.
Shōji Yonemura is a Japanese writer from Fukuoka Prefecture. He is known mainly for his work in anime and tokusatsu. After having graduated from Tokyo Zokei University, he worked as a freelance writer in Arakawa and would attend various film festivals. Then, he studied under Hiroshi Kashiwabara and others at a scenario course sponsored by the Japan Writers Guild. Awarded as winner of the 7th Otomo Shoji Award for scenario in 1994.
Kokoro Kikuchi is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with Kenyuu Office. She currently plays Sarada Uchiha in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, and is current voice actress for Maruko, in Chibi Maruko-chan.
Daisuke Nishio is a Japanese animator and director. He joined Toei Doga as animator in 1981. After doing several TV series, he was promoted to assistant director on Dr. Slump - Arale-chan in 1982. He debuted as director for Dragon Ball in 1986 and made his film debut that same year with Dragon Ball: The Legend of Shenlong. Nishio also directed its sequel TV series, Dragon Ball Z, and several of its films.
Pretty Cure All Stars or Precure All Stars is a series of Japanese anime films produced by Toei Animation based on Izumi Todo's Pretty Cure anime television franchise. Each movie features a storyline which crosses over characters from all Pretty Cure anime series to date. From Dream Stars onwards, the films instead feature Cures from the current series and the previous two series. However, All Stars F returns to the initial format by featuring all 78 Cures. As of September 2023, there are currently 14 main films in the series, All Stars movies are generally released shortly after the premiere of a new Pretty Cure television series. The most recent Pretty Cure team at the time of release generally has the largest involvement with the movie's plot. In the opening scenes of each movie, a running gag occurs, in which the most recent Pretty Cure team bump into older teams by accident. As well, the fairies of Pretty Cure teams know each other as friends. With the exception of A Wonderful Day with Everyone, each movie to date utilizes Miracle Lights, which are small flashlights handed out to audience members during screenings, with the finale encouraging viewers to wave their lights to support the Cures in defeating the main antagonist. The films often have a short segment instructing children on how to use their Lights safely. These Lights have also been made available for certain movies based on the individual series.

Mayumi Gojo is a Japanese singer from Ibaraki Prefecture. She formerly worked under Hyper Voice Managements. Currently she is affiliated with the Love&Light talent management agency. Gojo is known for her theme song performances for anime series such as Ojamajo Doremi, Pretty Cure, and Yumeiro Patissiere. She has performed as part of Project.R and also provides backup chorus for other artists.
Data Carddass is a series of Japanese arcade game machines created by Bandai, which largely focus around the digital use of collectible trading cards. It is an expansion of Bandai's Carddass collectible trading card series, which allows players to use special cards to interact with arcade video games. Many of these machines revolve around various anime and tokusatsu franchises owned by Bandai. The machines first began release in Japanese arcades from March 2005.

Euphonium as Kumiko Ōmae, Otome Arisugawa in Aikatsu!, Rebecca in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Annabella in Tower of Fantasy, Miria Akagi in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, and Land of the Lustrous as Phosphophyllite. She also performed the opening theme to DokiDoki! PreCure, "Happy Go Lucky! Doki Doki! Pretty Cure".
Pretty Cure All Stars: Spring Carnival♪ is a 2015 Japanese animated action fantasy film based on the Pretty Cure franchise created by Izumi Todo. The film is directed by Junji Shimizu, written by Mio Inoue, and produced by Toei Animation. The film was released in Japan on March 14, 2015.
Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 3: Eternal Friends is a 2014 Japanese animated action fantasy film based on the Pretty Cure franchise created by Izumi Todo. The film is directed by Kōji Ogawa, written by Yoshimi Narita, and produced by Toei Animation. The film was released in Japan on March 15, 2014.
Pretty Cure All Stars: Singing with Everyone♪ Miraculous Magic! is a 2016 Japanese animated action fantasy musical film based on the Pretty Cure franchise created by Izumi Todo. The film is directed by Yutaka Tsuchida, written by Isao Murayama, and produced by Toei Animation. The film was released in Japan on March 19, 2016.
Kanako Miyamoto is a Japanese actress, voice actress and singer affiliated with Axlone. She is known for voicing Makoto Kenzaki/Cure Sword from DokiDoki! PreCure and as the singer of several Pretty Cure songs.
