A serial killer is typically a person who murders three or more people, with the murders taking place over more than a month and including a significant period of time between them. [1] [2] The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) defines serial killing as "a series of two or more murders, committed as separate events, usually, but not always, by one offender acting alone". Luis Alfredo Garavito Cubillos, also known as La Bestia or Tribilín ("Goofy"), was a Colombian serial killer, sex offender, pedophile, and necrophile who sexually assaulted 200 victims before sexually assaulting and murdering 193 victims, mostly young men and boys from 1992 to 1999 in western Colombia.
Campo Elías Delgado Morales was a Colombian spree killer, former US serviceman and self-described Vietnam War veteran who killed 29 people, and wounded 12 more, most of them at an upscale Bogotá restaurant called Pozzetto, before being shot dead by police.
