Transport in Bangladesh is dominated by roadways, accounting for the majority of both passenger and cargo traffic due to substantial development efforts since independence. Eight major national highways connect the capital, Dhaka, with divisional and district headquarters, port cities, and international routes. Despite this, vehicle usage per capita remains low, with non-motorised modes prevailing. However, Bangladesh's roads are unsafe, having one of the highest road accident fatality rates. They also suffer from high congestion, as well as severe air and noise pollution.
The Khulna Division is the second largest of the eight divisions of Bangladesh. It has an area of 22,285 km2 (8,604 sq mi) and a population of 17,416,645 at the 2022 Bangladesh census. Its headquarters and largest city is Khulna city in Khulna District.

Jessore District, officially spelled Jashore District from April 2018, is a district in southwestern Bangladesh. It is bordered by India to the west, Khulna and Satkhira districts to the south, Khulna and Narail to the east, and Jhenaidah and Magura districts to the north. Jessore is the capital of the district. Jessore is the home of the ancestors of the great Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore. Jashore was the first independent district of Bangladesh in 1971.
Behala is a locality of South West Kolkata in South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Behala is a part of Kolkata Municipal Corporation area. It is broadly spread across Ward Nos. 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131 and 132 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation and is divided into two Vidhan Sabha constituencies: Behala Paschim and Behala Purba. Jashore Airport is a domestic airport in Jashore, Bangladesh that is operated and maintained by the Civil Aviation Authority. It is also used by the Bangladesh Air Force as part of BAF Matiur Rahman Base and training airfield for the Bangladesh Air Force Academy. Currently it has seven daily flights to Dhaka and a weekly flight to Cox's Bazar. It is the only operational airport of the Khulna Division and the fifth busiest airport of Bangladesh. The airport is located 6 km west of downtown Jashore.
Manirampur Upazila is an upazila of Jashore District in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh. It is bounded by Jashore Sadar Upazila on the north, Kalaroa and Jhikargachha upazilas on the west, Abhaynagar Upazila on the east, and Dumuria and Keshabpur upazilas on the south.
Jorabagan is a neighbourhood of North Kolkata, in Kolkata district, in the Indian state of West Bengal. As a neighbourhood, it covers a small area but its importance is primarily because of the police station.
VIP Road is a major thoroughfare connecting the city of Kolkata with Dumdum/Kolkata Airport. Located in the North-Eastern outskirts of the city, it was built in 1962 to provide speedy connection with the city and its sole airport. VIP Road is part of State Highway 3. To reduce traffic jams especially in the crossings of Kestopur and Baguiati, a flyover is constructed over the stretch between Dum Dum Park and Raghunathpur, which opened in March 2015. Another flyover connecting VIP Road with EM Bypass was opened in 2011, reducing traffic bottlenecks at Ultadanga crossing. This road is renamed after Kazi Nazrul Islam, a famous Bengali poet from India.
Belepole is a neighbourhood in Howrah of Howrah district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Belepole is under the jurisdiction of Chatterjeehat Police Station of Howrah City Police. It is a part of the area covered by Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA). It is an urban sprawl which sprung up near the old localities of South Howrah, like Bhattacharjee Para, Chatterjeehat etc. It is located near Shibpur. It has excellent communication and transportation facilities owing to its location, its life line is Kona Expressway which connects it to the Vidyasagar Setu and hence Kolkata is just 15 minutes away. It is close to the State administrative building Nabanna.
The Dhaka Metro Rail, or simply the Dhaka Metro, is a mass rapid transit system serving Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. It is operated by the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL). Together with the under construction Dhaka BRT, proposed Dhaka Subway and Dhaka suburban circular rail, it is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the city. The metro rail network has five planned lines which are the MRT Line 6, the only operational line, MRT Line 1 and MRT line 5, which are under construction, and MRT Line 2 and MRT Line 4, which are in the planning stages. It is part of the Strategic Transport Plan outlined by the Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA).
Bidhan Sarani is a principal north–south thoroughfare in north part of Kolkata, the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal. It was named after the first Chief Minister of West Bengal, Bidhan Chandra Roy. The road starts from Shyambazar five-point crossing and extends up to MG Road crossing, after which the street continues as College Street towards the south. Bidhan Sarani encompasses the neighbourhoods of Shyambazar, Hatibagan, Hedua, Shimla, Thanthania and College Street.
The N7 is a Bangladeshi national highway connecting the Daulatdia Ferry Terminal, on the south bank of the Padma River near the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, with the Port of Mongla in Bagerhat District. It serves some of the largest cities and towns in southwestern Bangladesh, including Faridpur, Magura, Jhenaidah, Jessore, and Khulna. The highway is known along various stretches as the Dhaka–Khulna Highway, the Jessore-Khulna Highway, and the Khulna-Mongla Highway.
The Dhaka Elevated Expressway is an all-elevated toll road in Bangladesh. The 19.73-kilometre (12.26 mi) road, regarded as the country's first elevated expressway, partially opened in 2023. It connects the Dhaka airport with Farmgate area in Tejgaon, with construction ongoing to connect it with the Dhaka–Chittagong Highway. Its construction aims to enhance traffic capacity within and around Dhaka city by improving connectivity between the northern part of the city and the central, southern, and south-eastern parts.
Khulna Development Authority (KDA) is a governing body in Khulna City, Bangladesh. It was established by an ordinance of East Pakistan government called The Khulna Development Authority Ordinance, 1961. It was established for better planning for Khulna city and its suburbs areas.
Khulna–Mongla Port line is a 65-kilometre long (40 mi)under-construction broad gauge railway to connect the country with Mongla Port. The Rupsha Rail Bridge is located on this route.
Khulna-Satkhira Highway or simply Khulna Road also known as Sher e Bangla Road in Khulna City portion is a national Highway connecting Khulna to Satkhira. The road was previously marked as R760, but it was upgraded into national highway.
Sher E Bangla Road is a major road in Khulna, Bangladesh. The road starts from Power House More popularly known where its meets with Upper Jashore Road and ends at Khulna City Bypass Road.
