Bilkent University was modeled after Harvard University and was the first non-profit private university established in the country. The name Bilkent is an abbreviation of bilim kenti, meaning "city of science" in Turkish.

Hacettepe University is a public research university in Ankara, Turkey. It was established on 8 July 1967. It is ranked first among the Turkish universities by University Ranking by Academic Performance in 2021.

Koç University is a private non-profit research university in Istanbul, Turkey. It started education in temporary buildings in İstinye in 1993, and moved to its current Rumelifeneri campus near Sarıyer in 2000. Koç University is ranked highest in Turkey according to the 2022 Times Higher Education World University Rankings and 2022 QS World University Rankings. Koç University currently consists of Colleges of Social Sciences and Humanities, Administrative Sciences and Economics, Science, Engineering, Law, Nursing and Medicine. It was founded in 1926 by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk originally as the Gazi Education Institute, has evolved into a comprehensive institution. The university comprises 21 faculties, 4 schools, 11 vocational schools of higher education, 52 research centers, and 7 graduate institutes. As of the latest data, the total student population is approximately 77,000, with around 1,500 students originating from the Turkic states of Central Asia. Additionally, 5,000 students are engaged in various graduate programs. The university employs over 3,000 faculty members, contributing to its extensive academic community.

Ufuk University is a private university in Ankara, Turkey. The university was established by the Turkish Foundation of Traffic Accidents in 1999.

The architecture of Turkey includes heritage from the ancient era of Anatolia to the present day. Significant remains from the Greco-Roman period are located throughout the country. Kesikköprü Dam is a 49-metre (161 ft)-tall earthen embankment dam on the Kızılırmak River near Ankara, Turkey. The development was backed by the Turkish State Hydraulic Works. Construction on the dam began in 1959 and was finished in 1966. The dam irrigates an area of 6,600 hectares and has a maximum hydroelectricity production of 76 MW.

The Ankara Synagogue is a Jewish congregation and synagogue located on Birlik Street, in Ankara, in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey. Completed in 1834, the stone synagogue was built in Ulus, the tumbling old quarter of Turkey's capital. The synagogue was radically refurbished by an Italian architect in 1906. The historical building is kept closed most of the year as it cannot find the required number of congregation members for worship.

Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, shortened AHBV, is a public university in Turkey which was formed on 18 May 2018 by the separation from Gazi University. Some faculties which have been separated from Gazi University in accordance with the law no 7141 such as Gazi University Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Letters have been become a part of newly established Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. The Besevler Campus is located in the city center of Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. Besevler Campus, which has the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, has graduated many famous people who are active in Turkish politics. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu of the Republican People's Party, the leader of the main opposition party in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and Devlet Bahçeli, the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party, have graduated from the aforementioned Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

The University of Health Sciences is a public university in Turkey established in 2015. It is the country's only higher educational institution solely dedicated to health sciences. As of 2019, the rector of the university is Prof. Dr. Cevdet Erdöl.
