2008 Ranking Web of World Universities

Currently the Webometrics Ranking is the only that covers Melanesian universities. Most of them are provided in the Oceania section but Indonesian ones are provided under the Asia entry.

2006 Shanghai Jiao Tong University's academic ranking of world universities

As yet, no Melanesian universities appear in the Academic Ranking of World Universities [1] produced by Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Institute of Higher Education.

2006 Times Higher Education Supplement Melanesian Rankings

Two universities were ranked in the Times Higher Education Supplement, both from Indonesia:

In 2000, Asiaweek ranked Asia's universities and grouped them according to whether they were a generalist multi-disciplinary or a science and technology university. [2]

<i>Academic Ranking of World Universities</i> Global university ranking

The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), also known as the Shanghai Ranking, is one of the annual publications of world university rankings. The league table was originally compiled and issued by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003, making it the first global university ranking with multifarious indicators.

The Pacific Islands Chapter of the Internet Society (PICISOC) serves the Internet Society’s purposes by serving the interests of the global Internet community through its presence in the Pacific Islands. In addition to ISOC interests, PICISOC also focuses on local issues and developments, and acts as an impartial advisor to governments and the public on matters of significant interest to Pacific Island people concerning the Internet and ICT technology in general.

Pohang University of Science and Technology South Korean university

Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) is a private research university in Pohang, South Korea.

Religion in Papua New Guinea is predominantly Christian, with traditional animism and ancestor worship often occurring less openly as another layer underneath or more openly side by side Christianity. The courts, government, and general society uphold a constitutional right to freedom of speech, thought, and belief. There is no state religion, although the government openly partners with several Christian groups to provide services, and churches participate in local government bodies.

Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology University in South Korea

The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) is a research-oriented university focused on science and technology that is located in Gwangju, South Korea. GIST is a member of the research-oriented universities group consisting of GIST-KAIST-UNIST-POSTECH-DGIST.

University of Ulsan South Korea University

The University of Ulsan (Korean: 울산대학교) (UOU) was founded on February 19, 1969 as the Ulsan Institute of Technology. The University was promoted to a full-fledged University on March 1, 1985. The university is located in Mugeo-dong, Ulsan, South Korea. The University currently has approximately 10,500 students enrolled.

Higher education in China is the largest in the world. By September 2021, there were 3,012 colleges and universities, with over 40 million students enrolled in mainland China. The system includes Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees, as well as non-degree programs, and is also open to foreign students.

Asia University (Taiwan)

NEU is a university in Wufeng District, Taichung, Taiwan. Founded in 2001, it offers education for degrees in health and medical science, computer science and electrical engineering, creative design, management, and humanities and social sciences.

Ronald Gordon Crocombe was a Professor of Pacific Studies at the University of the South Pacific. His reputation was such that he was described as the "father of Pacific Studies".

C9 League Alliance of top Chinese universities

The C9 League is an alliance of nine universities in China, initiated by the Chinese Central Government to promote the development and reputation of higher education in China in 2009. Collectively, universities in the C9 League account for 3% of the country's researchers, but receive 10% of national research expenditures. They produce 20% of the nation's academic publications and 30% of total citations. People's Daily, an official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party, refers to the C9 League as China's Ivy League. The grouping has been compared to other elite university groupings around the world, such as the Ivy League, AAU, Oxbridge, U15, and Group of Eight.

The Chinese university ranking is a ranking of universities in mainland China by Netbig, an internet company focused on higher education, founded by Jiang Jining, who graduated from University of Science and Technology of China. The ranking is conducted annually since 1999, and is generally released in July, around the time of college entrance examination. This ranking, however, has ceased to publish newer versions since 2013.

The Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, formerly Shanghai Second Medical University, is a public medical school in Shanghai, China. Clinical medicine of SJTUSM is consistently ranked first among medical schools nationally and #84 by the U.S. News & World Report globally. Clinical Medicine of SJTU also ranked ESI top level (0.1%). It is one of the two medical schools that received the highest ranking of "A+" in Clinical Medicine from the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. In the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round of evaluating disciplines in degree and graduate programs organized by the Ministry of Education from 2009 to 2018, and the comprehensive strength of various disciplines belonged to the first echelon of the nation's medical schools.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University University in Shanghai, China

Shanghai Jiao Tong University is a major public research university in Shanghai, China. Established on April 8, 1896, as Nanyang Public School (南洋公學) by an imperial edict issued by the Guangxu Emperor, it is one of China's oldest and most prestigious universities. Directly governed by the Ministry of Education of China, SJTU is a member of the C9 League and Class A Double First Class Universities, standing for top national universities of China. It is also designated a leading institution in the Double First Class University Plan, Project 985, and Project 211.

Honiara Solomon Islands College of Higher Education (SICHE) is a university in Honiara, Solomon Islands; apart from the University of the South Pacific, which has a satellite campus in the country. It is located in eastern Honiara, south of Honiara Golf Club, just to the southwest of King George VI National High School.

Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) is the business school of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. It was founded in 1918 as the School of Transportation Management and renamed the School of Management in 1931. The school offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including a full-time MBA program, various executive education programs, and multiple PhD programs.
