The University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro is a public university located in the north-eastern city of Vila Real, Portugal.
Nampula[nɐ̃ˈpulɐ] is the capital city of Nampula Province in Northern Mozambique. With a population of 743,125, it is the third-largest city in Mozambique after Maputo and Matola. The city is located in the interior of Nampula Province, approximately 200 kilometers from the coast and is surrounded by plains and rocky outcrops. The city is a major regional centre for the entire Northern region of Mozambique, as well as parts of Central Mozambique and border areas of Malawi and Tanzania.
Beira[ˈbɐjɾɐ] is the capital and largest city of Sofala Province, where the Pungwe River meets the Indian Ocean, in the central region of Mozambique. It is the fourth-largest city by population in Mozambique, after Maputo, Matola and Nampula. Beira had a population of 397,368 in 1997, which grew to 530,604 in 2019. A coastal city, it holds the regionally significant Port of Beira, which acts as a gateway for both the central interior portion of the country as well as the land-locked nations of Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.
The Eduardo Mondlane University is the oldest and largest university in Mozambique. The UEM is located in Maputo and has about 40,000 students enrolled.

Agostinho Neto University is now one of the seven regional university among others, serving Luanda Province and Bengo Province. It remains the largest university in Angola.

Polytechnic is one of the two sub-systems of higher education of Portugal, the other being a university education. The polytechnic higher education focuses on providing more practical trainings and profession-oriented, while university education has a strong theoretical basis and highly research-oriented. ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa is a Portuguese public tertiary education institution. It is located in the city centre of Lisbon, in Cidade Universitária, adjoining the Institute of Social Sciences (ICS) and Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT) of the University of Lisbon. ISCTE was founded in 1972, starting with three degrees and 296 studentes. Besides its main campus in Nampula, the university operates campuses in Pemba, Cabo Delgado Province, and Niassa Province. The university is named for the Lúrio River in northeastern Mozambique.
The Technical University of Mozambique is one of Mozambique's principal private universities. The name of the university is abbreviated to UDM. The UDM has its headquarters and main campus in Maputo.
