The album was released in Germany on 6 October 1997 via GUN/Supersonic Records, internationally on 24 December 1997 via GUN/Supersonic and BMG International, and finally in the US on 28 September 1999 via RCA Records and BMG International. Two of Guano Apes' most popular and enduring songs are included on this album: "Open Your Eyes" and "Lords of the Boards", which peaked at #5 and #10 on the German charts, respectively.

The seventh in their "Road Trips" series of albums, it was recorded on June 16, 1974, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa, and on June 18, 1974, at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. A third, bonus disc included with some copies of the album was recorded at the same two concerts. The album was released on June 18, 2009.
"Rain" is a 1997 song by Guano Apes. It was first released in January 1998 as a promotional single, but later had a full release in May 1998 as their second single from their debut album Proud Like a God. It is one of the songs by the band to have a softer sound, followed by "Don't You Turn Your Back on Me", "Living in a Lie", "Pretty in Scarlet" and "Quietly". The music video shows the band walking on a desert, looking for rain.
"Quietly" is the third and final single from the Guano Apes third album, Walking on a Thin Line. Like the previous single, Pretty in Scarlet, it charted at No. 51 in Germany. The single contains two previously unreleased songs, "Cream Over Moon" and "Allies", as well as previously unreleased live versions of "You Can't Stop Me" and "Pretty In Scarlet". It also contains an internet link giving exclusive access to the music video, a 'making of' feature for the music video, band members' statements and a live recording of Quietly. Rock Hard magazine called the song an incredibly gripping ballad.
"No Speech" is a 2000 song by German rock band Guano Apes. It was released their second single from their second album Don't Give Me Names on 14 June 2000. The music video shows the band performing inside a truck.
"Living in a Lie" is a 2000 song by German rock band Guano Apes from their second album Don't Give Me Names. It was released as the third single from the album on 2 October 2000. The music video shows Sandra singing in a room, interspersed by live and backstage footage of the band performing.
"Dödel Up" is a 2000 song by Guano Apes. It is the fourth and final single from Don't Give Me Names, released on 29 January 2001 in Germany. Originally the post-grunge-influenced "I Want It" was going to be the fourth single as there was a video, however the band scrapped the video and chose to do "Dödel Up" instead. The music video for the single was a complete departure from the previous Apes music videos, as the video was purely animated, but blended with live footage. The video shows the band portrayed as half bodied pencil holders.
"Break the Line" is a 2004 song by the Guano Apes from their greatest hits album Planet of the Apes, released on October 24, 2004. It was the one of the three new songs recorded for the album, however it was the only one that made it to the album, the two outtakes from the album "Stay" and "Underwear" instead became B-sides for the single. The music video shows the band performing in a room plus with some elements of split screen. It was the last single by the Guano Apes before their four-year hiatus beginning in 2005; their next single "Oh What a Night" was released in 2011.
Glimpses 1963–1968 is a 5-CD compilation boxed set by English rock group the Yardbirds. It contains various live and demo recordings interspersed with interviews with group members. Released on 5 December 2011 by Easy Action Recordings, the album was compiled by group biographer Greg Russo with the Yardbirds' approval.
