Guano Apes are an alternative rock band formed in 1994 in Göttingen, Germany. The group members are Sandra Nasić (vocals), Henning Rümenapp (guitars, backing vocals), Stefan Ude (bass, backing vocals) and Dennis Poschwatta (drums, backing vocals). [1]

Contents

Their sound has been described as a fusion of metal, pop and rap. [1] Their music is usually labeled as alternative rock and alternative metal.

Their discography consists of five studio albums: one live album, two compilation albums, eighteen singles and five video albums.

Video albums

Guano T-apes is a video that documents the development of the Guano Apes from their beginning. With the band and individual interviews, you get to know the members of the band better and experience curiosities and events from daily life in the music business. Along with the video clips, it contains much live material shot during the tours from Nov. 1997 through the summer of 1998. The video was directed by Richard Anjou and edited by Mathias Dohmbrinck.

It debuted at No. 5 in the UK charts with 57,000 copies sold in the first week. To date Familiar to Millions has sold around 310,000 copies in Britain alone (Platinum), about 70,000 copies in the United States and an estimated 1 million copies worldwide. The album was initially released simultaneously on six formats: DVD, VHS, double CD, double cassette, triple vinyl, and double MiniDisc, with different coloured cover art depending on format - the version of the cover art depicted in the infobox to the right of this article is the vinyl version.

Hell Freezes Over is the second live album by the Eagles, released in 1994. The album is the first to be released after the Eagles had reformed following a fourteen-year break up. The band's lineup was that of the Long Run era: Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Don Felder, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit. It contains four new studio tracks and eleven tracks recorded live in April 1994 for an MTV special. Two Top 40 Mainstream singles, "Get Over It" and "Love Will Keep Us Alive", were released from the album. It also features an acoustic version of "Hotel California". The four new studio recordings are the last to feature Don Felder, who was fired from the band in 2001.
