Live is the 2016 live album by British singer-songwriter RJ Thompson. It was released on 4 July 2016 and serves as the follow-up to his 2014 EP House Upon The Hill. Part of the live album was recorded during RJ's tour with Jools Holland, and other tracks were recorded at his concert at the Sage, Gateshead in 2015. The album was mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios. [1] [2]
RJ toured as the support act to Jools Holland throughout 2014 and 2015, during which 5 of the tracks on this album were recorded. The tour consisted of 14 dates including the Royal Albert Hall, London, Symphony Hall, Birmingham, O2 Apollo, Manchester, [3] and Motorpoint Arena Cardiff. [4] [5]
The album has received widespread critical acclaim to date, with the July 2016 printed edition of Acoustic Magazine proclaiming it "an album that holds attention from start to finish; and that's no mean feat".
The Crack Magazine said it "really is quite beautiful stuff, pop songs with real heart, and his voice is right on the money throughout". [6]

Ignition is the second studio album by American punk rock band the Offspring, released on October 16, 1992, by Epitaph Records. The discography of British singer-songwriter RJ Thompson consists of two studio albums, one live album, one demo album, three extended plays and three singles. His first official release was the 11-track Illogical Life, which was released on the iTunes Store on 10 July 2006. Thompson later called Illogical Life a "collection of demos" rather than his first studio release. In 2007 he started releasing EPs. The first of these was the Acoustic Sessions EP on 9 July 2007. Following three years of extensive touring, Thompson returned with the singles "A Better Life" and "When I Get Old" in 2011, which were also featured on The Cognitive Rules EP later the same year. The EP was mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios. In 2014 he released the single "The Numbers", which also featured a cover of Jimmy Webb's "Highwayman" as a B-side, and followed it up with the House Upon the Hill EP on 24 November 2014. Thompson returned with his live album, simply titled Live, on 4 July 2016.
