Live Fest is a bi-annual music festival held at The O2 in London. [1] According to its organizers, it is the largest indoor music festival in the United Kingdom. [2] In the first festival on 23 July 2011, some of the headlining acts included Zane Lowe, Tinchy Stryder, Roll Deep, The Hoosiers, and Funeral for a Friend. [3] Prominent genres of music at the festival include urban, pop, rock, and indie. [4]

Live Fest is a bi-annual music festival that takes place at The O2 in London. [5] Programming took place over five stages within The O2, including Proud2, Inc Club, [6] and the IndigO2. [3] The O2 Arena is the second largest arena in the UK, and in 2008 it took the crown of the world's busiest music arena from the MEN Arena. [7] During the festival the IndiO2 stage is dedicated to emerging and unsigned UK musicians with the Grand National Finales of the Live and Unsigned [3] and Open Mic UK music contests. [8] The Live and Unsigned finale occurs in mid-summer, while Open Mic UK typically occurs in January. [9] The next Live Fest has been announced as 21 January 2012. [1] The mascot for the festival is a green alien called Bob. [10] Prominent genres of music at the festival include urban, pop, rock, and hardcore. [4] According to Irwin Sparkes, the festival's headlining lineup for pop acts is particularly strong. [11]

The first Live Fest took place on 23 July 2011. [3] Urban acts were largely held at Proud2, while most of the headlining bands performed at IndigO2. [5] According to organizers, some 6,000 people attended. [1]

Headliners

Original headliners N-Dubz cancelled a week before the festival [4] after a judging conflict for The X Factor . [2] Other acts included Paradise Point, Saturday Night Gym Club, My Electrik, [3] Ras Kwame, David Benassi, Lazy Grafters, Back Acid Soul, Kasha, [2] Flowdem and Fdot1 who brought other performers up on stage with him to perform tracks from his album Money MusicK. [5] According to organizers, over 200 acts performed across the five stages. [4] At the Live and Unsigned 2011 Grand final occurring concurrently at the IndigO2, The Trinity Band was voted the winner by a panel of judges. [12]

Amy Winehouse was announced dead just hours before the end of the festival. Artists such as Zane Lowe and Roll Deep were among the first to announce the news to their audience, and played tributes in their acts. [13]

The Tramlines Festival is an annual music festival held in Sheffield, UK. The festival was originally free to attend, but now requires tickets. The line-up consists of national and local artists. The festival was curated and organised by a panel comprising local venue owners, promoters and volunteers. The name of the festival is inspired by the city's tram network. Tramlines held its first festival in 2009, which attracted 35,000 fans and was seen as a huge success, and 2010's event doubled that figure. Twenty Twenty were a British pop rock band based in London, Cambridge and Essex in England. They are made up of lead vocalist/guitarist Sam Halliday, brother and bassist/vocalist Jack Halliday, and drummer/vocalist Sonny Watson-Lang. The band have supported acts such as The Wanted, The Saturdays, Avril Lavigne, Scouting for Girls, Big Time Rush and Selena Gomez. Festival appearances have included playing with JLS, Diversity, and McFly. July 2010 saw the band play at the O2 Arena with The Saturdays, and Tinchy Stryder. In early 2011 Twenty Twenty supported The Saturdays on a UK tour throughout February and March and supported The Wanted in March and April. 17 April 2011 saw the release of the band's new single and their first release signed to a major label. "Spaceship" is a song by rapper Tinchy Stryder and hip hop vocalist Dappy. It was meant to be the first single released from his fourth studio album entitled, Full Tank but Full Tank was scrapped making it a non-album single. It was released on 12 June 2011 as a digital download. The single features vocals from Rapper/singer Dappy of N-Dubz, as well as uncredited back up vocals from Tulisa Contostavlos, also from N-Dubz. This is Tinchy Stryder's first top five single since 2009.

Beatbullyz was a musical group from the Swindon area of England. The group was influenced by hip hop, ska, funk, soul, and big beat. The band was fronted by Daniel Dubose (Bozo) and Andrew Bullimore (Bully), both of whom created the music. The group was on the roster of Big Weekend Records, Bullimore's record label. The Beatbullyz street team was known as "The Minotaurs".

Takeover Roc Nation was an American-British entertainment company, which acts as a co-owned subsidiary of Takeover Entertainment and Roc Nation. It was founded in June 2010 by American rapper and entrepreneur Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and English rapper and entrepreneur Kwasi "Tinchy Stryder" Danquah III of the company, Takeover Entertainment Limited. The partnership was dissolved in 2013 with the shutdown of Takeover Entertainment.
