Lluesty Hospital (Welsh : Ysbyty Lluesty) was a community hospital in Holywell, Flintshire, Wales. It was managed by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
The hospital had its origins in the Holywell Union Workhouse which was designed by John Welch and completed in 1840. [1] A separate infirmary was added in 1913. [2] The facility became the Luesty Public Assistance Institution in 1930 and then joined the National Health Service as Lluesty General Hospital in 1948. [2] After services transferred to Holywell Community Hospital, Lluesty Hospital closed in 2008. [3]

Newcastle General Hospital (NGH) was for many years the main hospital for the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. As part of Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust moving from three to two key sites, the hospital was closed and the majority of services transferred to the city's other two hospitals, the Royal Victoria Infirmary and the Freeman Hospital. The Accident and Emergency Department and Intensive Care closed on 16 November 2010. A walk-in centre for minor ailments and injuries remained on the site.
