Pies Descalzos is the third studio album by Colombian singer Shakira, released on 6 October 1995, by Sony Music Colombia. Its music incorporates Latin pop styles, additionally experimenting with pop rock elements. Looking to revive her struggling career after the commercial failures of her first two studio efforts Magia and Peligro, she assumed a prominent position in its production. As executive producer, Luis Fernando Ochoa co-wrote and co-produced each of the eleven tracks on the record with Shakira.
Ni Es lo Mismo Ni Es Igual is the eighth studio album recorded by Dominican singer-songwriter Juan Luis Guerra and his backup vocals 4–40. It was released by Karen Records on 15 December 1998 and distributed by PolyGram Latino. It was Guerra's comeback album after four years of silence, out of the public eye and since his conversion to Christianity. It was his first studio album since Fogarate (1994). The album production and songwriting were done by Guerra. The album was supported by the release of four official singles: "Mi PC", "Palomita Blanca", "El Niagara en Bicicleta" and "La Hormiguita". Two singles were released as promotional singles: "Vale La Pena" and "Quisiera".

The album was a success and topped the Latin charts. It also won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album at the 39th Annual Grammy Awards on 26 February 1997. The album received a Gold certification in Portugal after a weeks of sales, and has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. In the United States it was certified Platinum on 18 November 1996, becoming one of the best selling Latin albums of all times in that country. All singles of the album hit the number-one spot in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart: "Si Tú Te Vas", "Por Amarte", "No Llores Por Mí" and "Trapecista", the most for any Latin album, beating Selena and Jon Secada with four chart-toppers, each.

Jotdog is the debut studio album by Mexican group Jotdog. It was released on 2009 by Sei Track. The album is produced and arranged by Jorge "Chiquis" Amaro, with lead vocals by María Barracuda. The songs are mostly inspired by unrequited love, and deals with romantic relationships from different points of view. Musically, the album drew inspiration from '80s electropop and synthpop while incorporating dance music and clear hooks. The album received positive reviews, with critics commending Amaro's production and Barracuda's lyrics, and comparing their lineup and musical style to the bands Garbage and Mecano. The singles from Jotdog, "Hasta Contar a Mil", "Resistir" and "Las Pequeñas Cosas", were well received by the audience. Jotdog promoted the album by performing the songs in a number of live appearances. Jotdog was re-released with a bonus DVD with additional features and received nominations for the Premios Oye! and the Latin Grammy Awards.

Hasta la Raíz is the fifth studio album by Mexican recording artist Natalia Lafourcade, released on March 17, 2015, through Sony Music Mexico. After the success of her previous album, Mujer Divina – Homenaje a Agustín Lara, a tribute to Mexican singer-songwriter Agustín Lara, Lafourcade decided to record an album with original recordings. Lafourcade spent three years writing the songs and searching for inspiration in different cities, resulting in songs that express very personal feelings regarding love. The record was produced by Lafourcade, with the assistance of Argentinian musician Cachorro López and Mexican artist Leonel García.
