Locate S,1 is the stage name of the American musician Christina Schneider.
Schneider began her career as a musician with projects including C.E Schneider Topical, Christina Schneider's Genius Giant, and Jepeto Solutions. [1] In 2018, Schneider began making music under the moniker Locate S,1. Schneider released her first album under that name the same year, titled Healing Contest. The album was produced by Kevin Barnes of Of Montreal. [2] In 2020, Schneider released her second album as Locate S,1 titled Personalia, via Captured Tracks. [3] [4] [5] [6]
In July 2023, the third album under the Locate S,1 name, Wicked Jaw, was released by Captured Tracks. [7] [8]

Of Montreal is an American indie pop band from Athens, Georgia. It was founded by frontperson Kevin Barnes in 1996, named after a failed romance between Barnes and a woman "of Montreal". Kevin Lawrence Barnes is the singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter for the indie rock group of Montreal, part of the Elephant 6 Collective. Barnes started the band and, although providing several stories as to the origin of the name, is said to have named it after a failed romance with a woman from Montreal. The group has recorded 18 full-length albums, and numerous EPs and 7" singles. Barnes' brother, David, is an artist and has designed most of the band's artwork for albums since the release of The Gay Parade.

The Early Four Track Recordings is a compilation album by indie rock band of Montreal. It contains early recordings from the band, with the song titles changed to ones which tell a fictional story about actor Dustin Hoffman eating his bathtub. The album was originally released January 16, 2001, by Kindercore and later reissued by Polyvinyl Record Co. on March 7, 2006.

False Priest is the tenth full-length studio album by indie-pop group of Montreal, released on September 14, 2010 by Polyvinyl Records on CD, digital, and 180-gram vinyl in both red and black. In addition, Joyful Noise Recordings released a limited-edition cassette version of the album, making False Priest the first of Montreal album ever released on cassette.

Paralytic Stalks is the eleventh full-length studio album by American group of Montreal. It was released on the Polyvinyl website and in stores on February 7, 2012. The band released the album in several formats, including music download, CD, cassette, vinyl, and a special-edition "Fuchsia Purple" vinyl, which was limited to 1,500 copies. Later pressings of the vinyl were offered in yellow as well as black vinyl. All physical versions of the album featured free digital downloads. To support the release of the album, of Montreal toured America in early 2012.

The song is about a man who tells of his yearnings to a woman who has left. Upon its release, the song was well received in Mexico where it became one of the best-performing songs of the year. Since then, the song has been covered by several artists including Azúcar Moreno, Ricardo Montaner, David Bustamante and Alejandro Fernández.
