Lokmanya is an Indian Marathi language historical biopic series. It starred Kshitish Date and Spruha Joshi in lead roles. [1] It is produced under the banner of Dashami Creations. The show premiered from 21 December 2022 airing Wednesday to Saturday on Zee Marathi. [2]

The show depicts the extraordinary journey of Lokmanya Tilak, a staunch Indian nationalist who stoked the self-esteem of fellow Indians stuck in slavery and strived hard to unite the nation.

Ganesh Vasudeo Joshi, popularly known as Sarwajanik Kaka, was a lawyer, social reformer, and political activist. He was a founding member of Poona Sarvajanik Sabha. He was a great support system for the noble works initiated and carried out successfully by Honorable Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade. He was a social activist in Pune when Maharashtrian revival began, and he was the elderly guiding philosopher when Tilak and Agarkar's generation gave impetus to Indian independence struggle. Joshi also represented Vasudev Balwant Phadke as his lawyer in Phadke's trial.

Govind Shripad Talwalkar was a distinguished journalist, legendary editor of Maharashtra Times, historian, scholar, intellectual with liberal views, social reformer and author of 32 books. He received the Lokmanya Tilak Award from the Government of Maharashtra, India and also the B. D. Goenka Award, Durga Ratan Award, Agarkar Award & Bhalerao Award for excellence in journalism and Ramshastri award for social justice. He received Maharashtra Government Award for his book - Navroji te Nehru; and N.C. Kelkar Award and Sahitya Paishad Award for his four volume book - Soviet Samrajyacha Uday ani Asta; and Damani Award for his book - Badalta Europe.

Sare Jahan se Accha is a pencil sketch mural in Ahmednagar city in Maharashtra, India. It was created in the year 1997. The sketch was drawn by Pramod Kamble, who is a painter and sculptor. He created it as a tribute to the nation on the occasion of 50 years of independence. It was painted on the specially-prepared wall of Mahavir Art Gallery in Ahmednagar. Kamble has portrayed Bharat Mata and 500 great people born out of Indian culture. It is said to be the world's biggest pencil sketch. This is the only fixed asset in India which was made as a part of India's 50th Independence day celebration.

Lokmanya: Ek Yugpurush is a 2015 Indian Marathi-language biographical film directed by Om Raut and produced by Neena Raut Entertainment. The film is based on the life story of Bal Gangadhar Tilak - a social reformer and the freedom fighter of the Indian independence movement. The film stars Subodh Bhave, Chinmay Mandlekar, Priya Bapat in pivotal roles. Subodh Bhave played the title role of Indian nationalist and social reformer Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The film is directorial debut of Om Raut and is produced by Neena Raut. The screenplay is written by Om Raut and Kaustubh Savarkar and the music is composed by duo Ajit-Sameer.

Balmohan Vidyamandir was founded on 3 June 1940 by Late Shri. S.D.Rege alias “Dada” as he was fondly known amongst his students, parents and the community, was a teacher par excellence. The School was named “Balmohan Vidyamandir”. “Balmohan” being coined from the names of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and “Vidyamandir” meaning a temple of learning. Shridhar Balwant Tilak (1896-1928) also known as Shridharpant was a social activist and Marathi writer from Pune. He was the youngest son of Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
