London Fashion Film Festival is a London based annual event established by professionals from within the fashion and film industries to showcase creative talents in the genre of fashion film. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Contents

History

The festival was inaugurated in 2013 [3] by experts across the film and fashion industries, under the leadership of Beatrice Bloom, the Festival President and Director. [5] The first award show was in 2014. [6] Each year, filmmakers, designers, agencies and labels all over the world are allowed to submit entries of their work which would then be reviewed by the organisers before an official list is Nominated for the award proper. The award festival will involve screening of the Nominated fashion films, presentation of the awards, a question and answer session and an after party [2] [7] [8] The festival has showcased works of brands like Swarovski, Revlon, Juicy Couture and Harper's Bazaar. [6]

2020

In the year 2020, due to the global pandemic caused by the novel COVID-19 virus, and the subsequent lockdown/restriction of movements in the UK, the festival's seventh edition was held virtually between the 12 and 13 September 2020 via the company's website. That year also saw the addition of new categories of awards: Best Emerging Talent, Best Children Fashion Film and Best Hairstyle. Also, The Best Actor/Model category was split into three: Best Actress (Model), Best Actor (Model), and Best Child Actor (Model) respectfully [51] [52] [53] [54] [55]

Karolina Myroslavivna Kuiek, popularly known as Ani Lorak, is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, and former UN Goodwill Ambassador. Having received Ukraine's most prestigious and honorary title, the People's Artist of Ukraine, Lorak has been cited as one of the most powerful and influential women in her country, as well as ranked one of the most beautiful women from Eastern Europe. Ani Lorak reported the highest income of all singers in Ukraine in 2014.

Vanessa Kirby is an English actress. Phoebe Waller-Bridge British actress and writer

Phoebe Mary Waller-Bridge is an English actor, writer, and television producer. She is best known as the creator, head writer, and star of the BBC tragicomedy series Fleabag (2016–2019). She was showrunner, head writer and executive producer for the first series of Killing Eve (2018–present), which she adapted for television. Both Fleabag and Killing Eve are highly acclaimed and have been named among the 100 greatest television series of the 21st century by The Guardian, with the former ranked at No. 8 and the latter at No. 30. Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.

Maxim Dondyuk is a photographer and visual artist. His professional career began in Ukrainian media as a photojournalist in 2007. He has been freelance since 2010, working on creating and promoting his own documentary projects.

Anya Taylor-Joy Argentine-English actress and model

Anya Josephine Marie Taylor-Joy is an American-born Argentine-British actress and model. She made her debut in the fantasy series Atlantis (2015), before rising to prominence with her performance as Thomasin in the period horror film The Witch (2015). The latter role earned her several accolades, including an Empire Award and a nomination for a Saturn Award. She gained further attention for her performances as Casey Cooke in the psychological horror films Split (2016) and Glass (2019), and Lily Reynolds in the black comedy Thoroughbreds (2017). In 2017, she received the Cannes Film Festival's Trophée Chopard and a nomination for the BAFTA Rising Star Award.

The Smalls Film Festival is an independent film festival which takes place annually in London. Founded in 2006, the festival is one of the UK's major short film festivals, featuring an international programme of short films, talks, panels, discussions and workshops. The festival has had many collaborative partners including BAFTA, Creative Review, Devilfish, UKTV, Panavision, and the London Design Festival.

Dustards is the first Ukrainian feature-length documentary film about motorcycle travel to Western Ukraine. The film premiered in November 2016.
