The Yellow River or Huang He is the second-longest river in China, after the Yangtze River, and the sixth-longest river system in the world at the estimated length of 5,464 km (3,395 mi). Originating in the Bayan Har Mountains in Qinghai province of Western China, it flows through nine provinces, and it empties into the Bohai Sea near the city of Dongying in Shandong province. The Yellow River basin has an east–west extent of about 1,900 kilometers (1,180 mi) and a north–south extent of about 1,100 km (680 mi). Its total drainage area is about 795,000 square kilometers (307,000 sq mi).
Henan is a landlocked province of China, in the central part of the country. Henan is often referred to as Zhongyuan or Zhongzhou (中州), which literally means "central plain" or "midland", although the name is also applied to the entirety of China proper. Nanyang is a prefecture-level city in the southwest of Henan province, China. The city with the largest administrative area in Henan, Nanyang borders Xinyang to the southeast, Zhumadian to the east, Pingdingshan to the northeast, Luoyang to the north, Sanmenxia to the northwest, the province of Shaanxi to the west, and the province of Hubei to the south.
Mount Lao, or Laoshan is a mountain located near the East China Sea on the southeastern coastline of the Shandong Peninsula in China. The mountain is culturally significant due to its long affiliation with Taoism and is often regarded as one of the "cradles of Taoism". It is the highest coastal mountain in China and the second highest mountain in Shandong, with the highest peak (Jufeng) reaching 1,132.7 metres (3,716 ft). The mountain lies about 30 kilometres (19 mi) to the northeast of the downtown area of the City of Qingdao and is protected by the Qingdao Laoshan National Park that covers an area of 446 square kilometers.
Mount Song is a mountain in central China's Henan Province, along the southern bank of the Yellow River, that is known as the central mountain of the Five Great Mountains of China. Its summit is 1,500 metres (4,900 ft) above sea level.
Pingdingshan, also known as the Eagle City, is a prefecture-level city in central Henan province, China. It had 4,904,701 inhabitants at the 2010 census whom 1,756,333 lived in the built-up or metropolitan area including Ye county.

Jiaozuo is a prefecture-level city in the northwest of Henan province, China. Sitting on the northern bank of the Yellow River, it borders the provincial capital of Zhengzhou to the south, Xinxiang to the east, Jiyuan to the west, Luoyang to the southwest, and the province of Shanxi to the north. Jiaozuo is one of the core cities of the Central Plains urban agglomeration and a regional central city along the Shanxi–Henan border area.

Yima is a county-level city in Henan, China. It is under the administration of Sanmenxia. Yima is located in the western part of Henan province. It is located in the Xiaoshan Old Tracks, with Yangshao Peak to the north and Balcony Loewe to the south. Since ancient times, it was a key point between Luoyang and Changan. It has great strategic importance, being often a battlefield or a place for merchants to trade. Yima was founded two years before the Qin Dynasty established the new county system. After the People's Republic of China was founded, Yima reached county-level status in Henan Province in 1981. It was originally under the administration of Luoyang. However, since 1986, it has been under the administration of Sanmenxia. Currently, it is one of the forty-eight counties in Henan Province trying to expand. It is also one of China's top hundred counties, as well as the smallest city in China. Yima has the advantage of being self-sustaining, allowing for massive redevelopment of its industry and increased economic growth. In 2010, the city's per capita GDP was over seventy thousand RMB, which is about ten thousand US dollars. It ranks alongside moderately developed countries. In 2010, it was ranked first economically in Henan Province. The city is also known as "The Home of Martial Arts".

Aktogay Canyon is located in the Zhalanash valley on the territory of Enbekshikazakh district of Almaty region. The Aktogay canyon is a continuation of the Charyn canyon. The canyon has a trapezoidal shape. The canyon reaches three kilometers wide and 200 to 300 meters deep. The canyon's name means "white stream" in translation from the Kazakh language. It is part of the Charyn National Park and is located within the territory of the Uygur District, Raiymbek District and Enbekshikazakh District.
