Eustace Lorenz Pereira (born 4 July 1939) is a Sri Lankan former first-class cricketer.
The son of E. O. E. Pereira,he was born at Colombo in July 1939. Pereira was educated at Royal College in Colombo,where he played for the college cricket team. [1] From there he travelled to England to study at Fitzwilliam College,Cambridge. [2] While studying at Cambridge,he played first-class cricket for Cambridge University Cricket Club in 1962 and 1963,making one appearance against the Free Foresters in 1962 and Nottinghamshire in 1962. [3] He scored 11 runs in these matches,with a highest score of 8 not out. [4]
After graduating from Cambridge he returned to Sri Lanka,before emigrating to Australia where he worked for and Town and Country Planning Board in Victoria,eventually becoming a senior city planner in Melbourne. Amongst his achievements was the introduction of the retractable roof on the Rod Laver Arena. [5]
Don Sardha Brendon Priyantha Kuruppu is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played as a wicket-keeper and opening batsman. He is one of few batsmen in the world to score a double century on debut. Brendon was often played in One Day Internationals,making 54 appearances for the national team from 1983 to 1990,but his short Test career was largely unremarkable but for one productive innings in Colombo when he scored 201,becoming the first batsman to score a Test century on debut for Sri Lanka.
Lindamlilage Prageeth Chamara Silva is a former Sri Lankan cricketer,who played all formats of the game for 12 years. He is a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler. After poor performances,Silva was dropped from the squad,but continued to play in domestic seasons for Panadura Sports Club.
Michael Hugh Tissera is a former Sri Lankan ODI cricketer who played in the 1975 Cricket World Cup.
Shaul Hameed Uvais Karnain is a Sri Lankan former Sri Lankan cricketer who played 19 One Day Internationals (ODI) between 1984 and 1990. Making his ODI debut in 1984 against New Zealand,he took a five-wicket haul,thus becoming the first debutant to do so in ODIs. Karnain started playing cricket at Isipathana College,Colombo.
The Major League Tournament is the main domestic first-class cricket competition in Sri Lanka. It was established in 1938 and has existed under a number of different names. Matches before the 1988–89 season are not considered first-class. Relaunched as the Lakspray Trophy in 1988–89,it was renamed as the P. Saravanamuttu Trophy in 1990–91 and as the Premier Championship in 1998–99. There was a change of format in 2015–16 when it became the Premier League Tournament which was split into Tiers A and B the following year.

A gifted allrounder who was a right-handed batsman and a legbreak and googly bowler,he played first class cricket over a 19-year timespan,1949–1968,representing 14 different teams.
